Thanks, yep the gaps are much more of a pain than newer cars to make tight! Yes I have heard a lot of mixed reviews about Maier racing parts ... Still had to mess with bumper changed mounting setup... The part was pretty decent other wise.

Cool build. Cleaning up the gaps makes such a difference it's worth the extra work. I've never messed with old Mustangs, but I know mopars from back then also sucked as far as body fitment. Keep up the killer work!!

The nice part about Mopars it the bodys don't have many complex curves. The 67-70 Mustangs have a million body lines that are very tough to get close, plus the added issue of the door opening into the giant fender curve.

Yeah, my Coronet didn't really have a ton of character linez. It's still worth the effort, no matter what year/make/model. I remember welding tig rod to one side of my decklid to close the gap. I don't miss doing that crap. I do love painting tho. This is gonna be a very cool car when it's done.

YES!!! It's been a bit of a pain... Especially with the curves and peak of the upper body line...I have had to open it up a touch more to adjust for prime, base and clear...it's REALLY close now... Lol... I can't wait to just get it in prime and running tape lines to sharpen up the body lines more and paint it... I like painting MUCH more than bodywork ..lol

Yea lol....

Youll have to double stack those gauges to check the gaps on my 69 Mustang's fenders. They fit just like factory haha
