Finally got the 54 home.
The story:
Grandpa bought the car in 1961, currently the car has 423,056 miles.
My Dad was suppose to get the car but passed before Grandpa.
After my grandfather passed we(my brother and I) were told it was Grandpa's wishes that we got the car.(being the only gearheads in the family)
Our Grandfather was #5 founding member of the NCRS. Had over 30 Corvettes over the years, this was his first.
Now, I was given offers before we even got out of michigan. It's not for sale, yes I know what it's worth no I don't care. It has sat for about 10-15 years so it's a little rough. Over the winter I'm going to go through it and get it running. My Goal is to be able to drive it next year and little by little collect everything to do a proper restoration. Currently has a Chevy 350 but a good eye will notice the original blue flame 6 in the one picture.
Looks great next to the Camaro in the garage.
