$150
yes it does, what OS though?

#1 would be a huge upgrade for you, then use $30-40 to upgrade the ram, then the next $30-$50 to add additional HD.
But for now, #1 would OWN your current computer.

EDIT, the last one you posted sounds the best.

I can help you with a copy of XP pro if id doesn't come with an OS

Waiting on a response to the email i sent him. Hope he still has it.

Why not save up a few more bucks and get a netbook? You can get one for around $300 average (or less but with less options). Only thing is that they usually don't come with any type of CD/DVD drive.

Need a desktop for comfort reasons. Going to pick up the 3rd one i posted. BRAXX you might receive a pm if i cant find my windows software.

Are newer computers lighter or something? I just picked up the computer with the 160hd and it is WAY liter than my old tower. It has a plexi glass window on the side and it looks empty. I plugged it in and the first screen that popped up was asking to install windows. I'm tiring to get ahold of my dad, I think he has start up software. but if he doesn't, braxx you have a pm.

just ghost your old HD onto the new one. You can get a ghosting program on the net and copy everything over to the new drive.

Do you have XP on your old computer? if so then your all set to copy everything over.

If your up to it open the new computer and check the brand of the new HD, then go to that brand's manufacturer website and download their disk tools, they should give you a ghosting program for free.

I think i have a virus on my current hd. If i ghost would the virus transfer along with it?

if you ghost a drive EVERYTHING is transferred. The boot sectors, the data, the viruses, everything. BUT it will avoid having to buy XP or getting a pirated copy.

Any virus is can be cured if you use the proper antivirus program.

man o man, 4 gb hdrive those came out when i was 10

everything in the computer world software wise is free if you know what your doing.

OK another question. I got the computer up and running great "Thanks to BRAXX"! The only issue i am having now is viewing the screen correctly. It looks like the screen is to large for my monitor. I used to have a icon in the bottom left of my screen on my old system where i could click to change the screen size. I don't have that on this system. how do i shrink the screen size to fit my monitor. I tried clicking view then text size but that made everything way to small. any thoughts?

No problem,
Click Start | Control Panel.
Open the Display icon by double-clicking it. Click the Settings tab.
On the Screen Resolution setting, use the slider bar to choose a different resolution.

Another issue. I don't have any sound. I try to play a cd but this error pops up. Is there a way to check my sound board without opening my tower?
