Need computer, help!

Did you download it? Youll download an installer for the audio driver. Once you download, then double click it and start the installer.

Save it, then right click, extract here...then it should put a folder in your download location. Click the folder then click the installer icon.

Go to the start menu, then click the search button. Type in ALC880.zip and it should find it for you.

Sorry this is taking so long. I'm not very computer savy. I do appreciate the help though!

Yes. Doubleclick setup.exe

Or, open that Readme.txt in notepad or MS Word and follow the direction included within.

I did that and restarted my computer, still no sound. I think this is a little more that i can chew with the current knowledge i have. I think I'm just gonna have my uncle come take a look. Thank you for your help everybody and even more, your time.

When you boot your computer, hit either F2 or Del to get into the BIOS. There should be a screen labelled "Integrated peripherals". under that screen, make sure the option for sound is either set to Auto or Enabled.

WOW you guys are great. This is why being part of MM is awesome.
Man, we should have a seperate computer or technology sub-forum.
