My wife was just assaulted by a young male and young female while walking my kids !!!!! WTF ?

+1 Thank you and yes everyone is fine now. My kids understand what happened and know what they saw was wrong.

I am just floored that a male 17-19 would hit a woman in front of her kids, I really can't believe it. She fell hard enough to get a huge goose egg on her head from hitting the concrete. Filed a police report and she is going to press charges. I am upset I was not there to protect them but thankful because I would have lost it on them.

This a quite street in central Warren and I am just shocked and upset my kids had to witness their Mother getting hit by a man.

WTF is wrong with people these days ???????

First off, sorry to hear. Thankfully you'll be pressing charges. I hope they get the book thrown at them.

As for the bold part.....happens all the time. There are a lot of really shitty people (animals) out there. Defective humans.
 
I hate to say it but for instance like this I am reminded about something Steve Harvey the comedian said, not word for word but this basically what he said. I am a nice guy and try to do the right thing, but I have a whole lot of friends that could care less about doing the right thing. They are the type that just do not care and when I run if I run into a fool who wants to start something with me I may walk away because I am trying to love right but those friends will see it and handle it totally different. I think we all have know some of those type people and in this situation I would have to let them do what they do, right or wrong.
 
yeah... This pisses me off reading this. This kid NEEDS to get a random beatdown one day soon... Sorry, but it needs to happen by you or a friend...

This is a reason why I got my CPL (not saying I would've shot the kid, but it's a nice security to have is SHTF) and why I won't let my wife walk around the block by herself. I live in central/south Warren and have a family member fairly high up in Warren PD. If you need any prodding into this matter, feel free to shoot me a PM and I can see what I can do.

Glad your family is safe and you didn't get yourself into trouble over this.

Thanks, the Detective has not returned her call but it will take a few days for them to pursue the matter. I don't expect immediate results but I will let you know if we don't hear anything by mid next week. We are just going to let nature takes its course.

PLEASE let the lead Detective know that your wife & family is willing to do EVERYTHING it
can to help them prosecute this case, ie. you'll show up at all the court dates, you'll testify etc.

Hopefully the Detective will share this with the City Prosecutor. They need to know they can
count on you.

I am sorry to hear about a situation as vial and socially distorted as this... I am very happy that your family is okay! I am a younger guy 25, and that being said I have friends that feel the need to beat the crap out of anyone who crosses them. It does not pay off! As you mentioned moving out of the area right away is not going to happen, so starting a turf war without the law backing you 100% would be one of the worst things you could do. You did the best thing you could and I hope that these losers get the book shoved up their ass with a plow truck. Though it seems far and few between, for every thug "hard ass" punk there are 10 good people who are willing to step in and help. As mentioned before, the example you set for your family will covers miles, over the trip to jail. :applause:

That sucks, males hitting females is by far the worst thing that can happen...especially when it's a stranger hitting YOUR wife. Fucked up!!!!

It's prolly better you didn't do anything after the fact. If you were with her and saw them hit her, you prolly coulda beat their ass and stayed outta trouble, but according to stupid laws...if you did it after the fact of course you'd prolly be in trouble. But of course these pussies wouldn't do shit if a man was there.
 
let the law handle it criminally, then sue them (or their parents if they are minors) for the injuries.
 
Yeah it's probably best that he didn't do anything about it. I remember when my mom was pregnant with my little sister in 1992. One of the neighborhood bullies who was about 17 kicked my mom and attacked her. A bunch of us neighborhood kids (we were like 11, 12) jumped on him and started to kick his ass.

It all started cause he assaulted my brother who was 12 at the time. Needless to say he was a loser.

I pulled up right after it was over and my wife only told me "she was hit and catch that car". I did just what she asked and remained as cool as possible. The thought crossed my mind to do wrong but I have babies at home that need a Dad that can provide for them. Sitting behind bars is not going to pay the bills even as hard as it was to stop myself i put my family first and used the better judgement.

The other night my girlfriend was getting gas and was approached by an African American male, he asked for her number and she declined, when she was walking towards her car he punched her in the face, she ran to her car jumped in and took off. Her lips are swollen and she now looks like a duck. I don't get what kind of man can hit a woman like this? God only knows what would have happened if I were there.

Good point. Normally, I would have said I would have done the same thing and let the law handle it. Lately, I find myself reacting a little more aggressively. I'd be interested to see what the local media could do with a story where a nice suburban family was assaulted by some punk-assed teenager, then the husband (who happened upon the situation wherein his wife was beaten by said teenager while his children (who are now severely emotionally scarred for life as they watched in horror while their mommy was brutally beaten)) stepped in to defend his family and neutralized the threat. Seems to me like the kind of story a lot of locals would love to hear and support the family.

I'd bet money that this asshat is not through showing how much of a badass he is to this poor family. The detective route seems to have done little to protect the citizens here.

A man who isn't man enough, or is too much of a coward, to do the same to another man. Criminals like this are looking for easy targets. Sorry to hear that this happened.
