My wife was just assaulted by a young male and young female while walking my kids !!!!! WTF ?

First off, so glad your wife is ok......now is when I am an asshole , if my wife was walking my young kids and a car with teenagers drove by and flicked her off, I would have asked her why in the hell would you first, walk by them at all, you turn the corner and see them, turn around and go the other way, imo, and second, why would you confront them?! Me personally I would be pissed at my wife, cause the situation could have ended way worse than it did....but that is me.
again, this is my opinion, I am glad your wife and or kids weren't seriously injured.

Glad to hear the family is OK.

Let the justice system handle it, if they don't I agree with SVTSINR. Sometimes things just happen.

It is kind of difficult to make a 4 year old turn around and walk around the block another 3/4 of a mile because of that. She didn't notice the car until they were right next to it and my son pointed it out, again not her fault just coincidence. The drive by "birding" happened 2 blocks over from our street where the assault took place. She had no intention of causing a dispute she asked the girl nicely (as the neighbor witnessed) "did you flip my kids the bird"? If that is reason to assault someone for asking a simple question regarding a wrong doing than I should be punching about 100 different people a day. I am sorry but even the officer said she did the right thing and she had every right to question the action of the girl.

JACKO, If you choose to get pissed at your wife for defending your family that is fine, I would never tell anyone in my family to be afraid to speak up. Not attacking you but pointing out that our society is pathetic for not speaking their mind and questioning ignorance.

Had I been there I would be in jail ,no doubt. I just happened to pass by right after it happened. Jen is a tough chick, she would have handled it being 1 on 1. Trust me she would have whooped ass if she felt she needed to before getting blasted by a guy.

Anyhow, the detective said the people would not answer the door when he went there. I just wish the law allowed for me to go handle it myself but we all know how that would turn out. Plus white on white crime might bring some unwanted media attention...lol
 
Boomer, you have handled this the right way. As long as your wife is OK, your kids will get over this. What will stick with them is YOU. The way you didn't go commando on those idiots. The way you got the police involved. The way YOU kept things in the proper perspective. I know how hard it must have been to pull off. If you hadn't, most likely there would be charges for YOU to face, and you'd probably be dealing with them through the courts defending yourself and your business.

Punks with that little respect are more likely to mouth off or "resist" during contact with LE. And yes, the little Bee-hotch sounds like she got her charm from her mom. Things DO happen to idiots like that. Quietly. Without you risking business, or your good name and putting your family at risk. Let LE do their job. Stay in touch with them. Meanwhile, I'm sure some folks on here can help you to define and implement an "appropriate response".

Boomer, you are correct, I would want my family to stick up for each other too, but here's my thing, kids now a days don't give to shits for adults or police, so what would stop them kids from finding out where you live and destroy your property/vehicles, that is the society we live in, this is not the 50's or 60's where someone could take a beating, shake hands and go about there live, this has happened to my family before, and the police didn't and couldn't do shit, cause they didn't catch them in the act, all I know is if there is a lake that doesn't have a"no swimming"sign, and I see alligators in it, i'm not gonna jump in

Move if you can. There are idiots everywhere but in some areas the percentage is much higher. Kudos for the self restraint. I was in a similar situation a few years ago, but the offense to my family was much more serious. Despite my intense desire to remove the offender from the planet, I had to ask myself "how is spending the rest of my life in prison going to help my family?"
 
Moving is not an option at this point. Keeping my cool and avoiding conflict is best.

I ALSO FORGOT TO MENTION THAT WHEN THAT HAPPENED MY YOUNGEST WAS STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO MY WIFE WHEN SHE WAS HIT.. (she waited for me to cool off a bit before telling me). She knew if if I had found out last night I would be in jail. That close to my baby girl, if something would have happened to my daughter I would be chillin with Zimmerman.
 
Boomer, you are showing admirable restraint. I will only say that if this happened to my wife very bad
things would have occurred for all involved. I have always believed that there is a cell somewhere with a nameplate above the door with my name on it waiting for the day some piece of shit fucks with my family. Hopefully this pussy is killed in a fiery car wreck very soon.

I was so mad & pissed off I couldn’t even write a reply post!

A day later…..I’m now a little better. I can only hope you &
your family are also doing better and that the police & courts
will pay attention to this crime and make an example out of
these “kids”.
