My wife was just assaulted by a young male and young female while walking my kids !!!!! WTF ?

Jen (wifey) takes my kids for a walk almost every evening through the neighborhood. Tonight while walking a group of late teens drove by and flipped my kids 4, 8 and 10 years old the bird. My son Dylan told Jen and they happened to walk around the corner and there the cars was parked in front of a house down the street from my house. My son pointed to the girl that was outside and said "Mom that was the girl". Jen asked the girl about it and the girl started screaming at her and then she pushed Jen. Jen immediately grabbed the girls hands to assure she wasn't going to get hit and the guy gets out and sucker punches her knocking her to the cement. IDIOTS !!!

Less than a minute later I pulled around the corner and she waved me down and told me what happened and described the car and where they went. I chased after them and got the plate number and was able to ID the kids she described. I could have got out and beat the snot out of them but yielded to my better judgement as I didn't really feel like spending the night in jail.

I am just floored that a male 17-19 would hit a woman in front of her kids, I really can't believe it. She fell hard enough to get a huge goose egg on her head from hitting the concrete. Filed a police report and she is going to press charges. I am upset I was not there to protect them but thankful because I would have lost it on them.

This a quite street in central Warren and I am just shocked and upset my kids had to witness their Mother getting hit by a man.

WTF is wrong with people these days ???????
 
Sorry to hear. These young kids today have no respect. Good thing you didn't beat him down cause then you would be the bad guy. Hope the wife is ok.
 
Jesus, that's fucked up. Sometimes it really should be seen as justifiable to beat the shit out of people, teenagers included.
 
That's assault and battery! What a punk. Had you been there, you would've had the "right to defend another" since your wife had the right to defend herself but most likely couldn't against a man. Wow, just wow.

She is okay thankfully, my kids are a bit shook up but they know Mom is okay. The officer said they will have a detective follow up and we have good ground to stand on as far as charges. Her cell phone was damaged as well so it will be added to the list.

Really, I wanted to go smash their heads but I know it is the wrong thing to do and would only make things worse.

I did catch up to the little F'ers but they saw me and started blowing traffic lights. The police will get them, the plate number matched the vehicle described.
 
Sorry to hear, and sorry to say but they will likely get off easy....just the way it goes now days, the criminals have more rights then the honest upstanding citizens....Makes me sick to my stomach when i think about it.
 
This is one of the main reasons i moved outta wayne county....there is less and less of it that can't be considered safe. I have potential to travel for work often, and I never liked doing it because I was constantly worried about my wife just walking from her car to our old house. Once in the house, the dog was sufficient.....but thugs are smarter than that.

Now we live in an area that is not only much safer, but the neighbors are much more protective of each other.....AND my gun collection is starting to grow. :)

It is taking a lot of restraint but I know right from wrong.

The officer that was here knows our family and actually handled the guy that stole a bunch of stuff from my dads house. He knew that Jen was telling the truth and said "that both of them will get what they have coming to them". The kid that was driving has a bunch of complaints filed for driving like an idiot on our street so I'm pretty sure they'll enjoy handing him random tickets.

If I find where he lives I will pay him a visit but I have no way to look up a plate number but I am going to put a call in to a buddy tomorrow for a favor and maybe knock on their door if he can run the plate through the system for me. Maybe his parents would like to know what he was involved in. The girl on the other hand lives right down the street and her mother got in my wife's face telling her that her daughter did nothing wrong. What is funny was that the mother was not even outside until the altercation was over and I was just headed to get the plate number. I have seen the mother, she is 90lbs soaking wet and Jen would have hurt her badly had the lady made a move.

Sorry, I am just so angry and upset. I need to keep my cool and stay out of trouble.

I dont think anyone could blame you for being furious, but your best bet is to stay away from culprits and their homes, last thing you want to do is give them any type of ammo to come back at you. I guess try to have faith in the system and im sure we all hope they get a stiff penalty. If they are doing this crap now, what are they capable of in the next year, two, or 5? Maybe I'm wrong to say but the parents should be held account able in ADDITION to the punks. Wish you the best, keep us updated.

Yes you're right. I guess I am going to just take a chill pill and let things go and let the law handle it. I sometimes say stuff out of anger and I have common sense enough to avoid confrontation.
 
I know if i confronted a punk that sucker punched my wife, and he made a smart ass comment or gesture, I would most definatly snap and probably choke them....I think its pure instinct.
 
Sorry to hear man. Glad your pressing charges and just not letting it go. Its amazing how these young kids think their untoucable. I almost had an altercation the other night.

I just got home from picking my bike up from standy. Backed my truck into my driveway(bike was strapped down in the bed). While waiting for a friend to swing by to help unload it..i looked out the window and noticed a car stopped in front of my house. Female driver, 2 males in the car. Probably sat there for a good minute. I open up my front door and start walking out and they take off down the street. They went down the street probably a good 6 houses and pulled over, turned there lights off and sat in the car. Not a minute later a pick up truck pulls down my street and right to where they were parked. Stopped next to the car, chatted and then left. Sortly after my buddy pulls up to the house sees me outside and asks whats up. I tell um whats going on..and just like you..we wanted to go down there and just confront the fuckers. Pull them outta the car need be. They were down by some "wanna be thugs" house down the street. I had my .45 on my side and was ready for battle. Then be rational stepped in. Why would i go down there? Its just gonna affect my life that ive worked hard for while these 18yr old "im so hood but live with mommy and daddy" get off scotch free? Fuck that..called the cops. I was actually surprised..they showed up within 5 minutes. Pulled up behind the car, flicked on the lights and pulled um all out the car. Another unit showed up shortly after. Im not fully sure what happened....but better then me going down there and going to jail.
