My Turbo Install Thread

if your changing springs too I would just pull the whole engine out and change it all on the floor. springs take 10 minutes with the engine lowered and you don't risk dropping a keeper

Not sure if there will be enough room to do that. I am working on jack stands here. We'll see. I have the spring tool and cylinder pressurizing tool from VHP.

That would make it 100 times easier for those exhaust manifolds too.

Whats the hold up? I thought you'd already have a time slip.:_slide_:

 don't I wish! One thing at a time. I may tackle the fuel pump upgrade tomorrow. Then the valve springs/pushrods. Then the oil pan & K-Member. After that point is it all re-assembly and will hopefully go fairly quickly. All in good time. Don't want to rush and forget something or break anything.

that's sweet Tony. if ya need any help too, let me know, i am a whole 6 minute ride from your place! as far as the springs, if you don't take the motor out, it's not too hard to pop the heads off and just swap the springs with the heads off, then just put 'em back on. we did a head/cam swap in my garage on my buddy's formula in 1 night

lol theres only one problem i saw with this build... and its the pic when you took the exhaust off.... you do consider that thing a muscle car right??? lol was that CATs i saw still on there!!!! lol just messing with you.. thats gonna be a bad bitch

Not just catch, blow right on by!:D C-Ya! You better watch out for that screaming jetwash. The turbulance can cause blue mustangs problems. ;)

If its back on the road for the Harper Cruise or North Gratiot Cruise you are welcome to a ride. Do not worry, once I am back up and running the car will be DD'd again. I can't wait!

Didn't get a ton done tonight. Ran out to get some sealants at the store. Then mostly a bunch of subassembly items. Put the heat shielding and studs on the manifolds. Put the water and oil attachment fittings on the turbo's. And put the wastegates on the downpipes. Things are looking SWEET!!!!!:D:D Enjoy today's edition of the automotive porn!!
