What are\is a turbo?

The middle pics are the turbo's with the water / oil attachments I added yesterday. Come on now, stay with the rest of the class. :lol:

Thanks for all of the good comments guys. I am trying to keep on track and get this install done. Still targeting my 2 weeks for install. I think once I have the K-Member installed, I will be over the major hump of this project. Then it's just a lot of little stuff.

Thanks guys. Boy is this project spiraling. Just ordered new 18" wheels/tires today..... :lol: Does it ever end??!? These are gonna look SWEET on the car!!! :rockwoot: And now I can finally install those big brakes on my workbench.

Hmmm, might look a little like the Ultima in my sig. Just maybe.

It should. I put the LS7 clutch in this spring. Staying on street tires so worst case I break them loose. I gotta make the stock 10 bolt survive until next year when I can afford to have Scott build me a new rearend.

We'll see. Worst case I baby it until I can get a beefier clutch in there (which will probably also be next year as my credit card can't take much more! :lol

7psi are the springs that came in the wastegates. That produced 502rwhp on the APS trans am they mocked this kit up on. Base engine, upgraded valve springs, etc. I am shooting for something similar. That clutch survives behind the LS7 and I would hope there it a small safety margin for power handling on it. I guess I will find out. There will be other options down the road too (but I can't talk about them on a public forum :secret.

Today was more little stuff. Finally got the rest of the exhaust off of the car. Took off all of the heat shields to get to the gas tank. Started some of the cutting to get the intercooler in place. What a chore that was! My arms are killing me from swinging a 5lb sledge reworking a small lip. Removed the starter and relocated the ground wire near it. And last but not least removed the stock exhaust manifolds. I am to the point where I need to have some extra hands for any of the next steps (dropping fuel tank, dropping K-Member, installing turbo manifolds, downpipes). So if anyone is around next week after work, I will be in the garage every night! Enjoy today's edition of the pics!
