My next phone...

I ordered it for Monday. They had some in stock, but they gave you free stuff if you waited. I am all about free.

I'm impatiently waiting for my girlfriend to get to my place of employment so we can leave here as I'm picking it up on my way out of town. I should have left at 4:30 and come back. i totally would had time to do that.

My first post from my Evo.... Sprint's servers getting jammed up made it a pain to get the data up and working but everything seems kosher now. I'm loving the thing so far, but I'm just getting used to Android. The screen on this phone is nothing short of amazing though.

I got a Pre on launch day last year...and 4 phones later I'm still disappointed with the build quality of the damn thing. Little bullshit that has killed the phone, and awful refurbs from Sprint made it even better.

The Evo is the first phone that I've considered getting out of contract. It's $450, but it looks like an amazingly capable phone for what it is, and the only thing that bugs me is paying the $10 for premium data, although we don't/won't have 4G for some time.

I'm a little cautious of getting a launch phone again, so I'll keep an eye out for more feedback from you guys.

Is that something like how I can stand in the ATT store in Kalamazoo with my Sprint phone and have a great 3G signal while there is no ATT 3G there? Sprint already has most of PA done and most of TX done with 4G. Aggresively expanding the 4G network. By the beginning of 2011 Sprint 4G will probably have better coverage than ATT 3G

HAHAH AMEN to that!

Yeah, I ran into the same thing when I picked mine up early this afternoon. I had to wait around 2 hours. Phone is pretty sweet so far.

I have to pay the "full" price for it if I get it. The best I saw was $450 at the local Sprint store. Best Buy wants $600.

Any good deals known or is $450 the best I'm gonna get?

That's the best I've heard so far. I'm still tossing the idea up of getting it if Sprint has them at the end of the week.

Well, Friday afternoon I got a call from Best Buy saying the Sprint activation system was down completely so I couldn't come in to pick up my phone. I tried to buy one in Iowa City but I could only pre-order for shipments next week any place there. So I still don't have it. I need to confirm something I was told. If it is true I'm going to wait a couple weeks to make a couple trips land within the 30 days that I could still return it. If I can't get a signal every where I go this phone is dead to me and I don't want to find that out outside of the 30 day return window. I already found out one phone was junk just outside of that window and suffered through 2 years of it as a result. But if I pick it up at the end of the month a trip to Plainview/Creighton, Nebraska for my cousin's wedding will be an awesome test within a 30 day window to make sure I have a signal everywhere.

That seems sufficiently BFE to me to test coverage area. Plus driving to there and driving to Minneapolis the weekend prior.

Wirefly has them for $189 for new and upgrade contracts.

I was doing some digging around about wirefly and they seem to be absolutely horrible to do business with. There's a lot of complaints. Their reseller rating is atrocious too. I'd rather just pay the extra $10 and go to the Sprint store than deal with that online business.
