On my way to look at an '86 Capri I passed this car. I wasn't to impressed with the Capri so on my way home I stopped and looked at this. I'm an impulse buyer/seller so I picked it up. It's a project that was started and never finished. 1967 Ford Mustang, 408 (351w), rollbar, and some suspension work. It's got a 15-20gal fuel cell in the trunk along with the battery. The body is actually alot better then it looks. All the panels are good just need some putty work and then paint. Probably should replace the valance below the front bumper. I'm not sure why but I like the hood. Before anything I'll take out the hood pins and patch the hood. The only exhaust on the car is LT's. The interior is the worst part. I don't want a full race car so I'll have to start finding parts to do the interior. What you guys think? I don't think it is bad for $1,500! Probably like $3,000 into the motor alone.

Here are a few pics of my Tahoe I took over the last 2 days, the "Durahoe". A 2001 Tahoe with a Duramax from a 2004 Silverado. You like my dummy exhaust tips? Very very sneaky sir! They are only 12" long, right before they start is where the 4" pipe ends in a downturn.

That's what I was thinking! The car is pretty built underneith. He was building it for racing on the track. I don't know of any road courses though. I don't know how much money he lost on it but It looks to be like $3,000 into the engine, $3,000-3,500 into the suspension and rear end. The body is nice except the vanlance and hood. The floorboards were replaced. He said it has been sitting out for a few weeks now and most of last fall. I looked it over about an hour and I couldnt find anything majorly wrong with it.

The rust isnt bad. I'm going to push it out into the drive today and hose it down. Even if it does leak I can't really bitch. I got $7,000+ worth of parts for $1,500. I think he had it so low because he didn't think anyone would want a '67 Mustang set up for Road Racing. Said I was the first person to come look at it. I think partially because the paint on the window looked like it said $1500BO, not $1500 obo

You guys will see it this summer. I'd like to make it out to one of your meets but they always seem to take place during the week. I was thinking taking it to a track rental but Stanton is so much closer for me to run, ya know? If I know something big is going on I'll head out to my bros for the weekend. He's in Plymouth so that isn't to big of a haul. I know for sure it will be on Woodward for the WDC.
 
Put a Duramax in it!! :lol: I love that Tahoe and I am sure when this stang is done I will be equally impressed
 
Damn Mike, that will be a project for sure! You know any more about the car? Like the cam or anything? I'm curious to see how it will run but being a 408 I'm sure it screams!

Me and Bren will be up finals week for a BBQ one night for sure.

I'll stickwith everyone else with....."OMFG THAT Tahoe is so tight!" Actually it's fucking sweet cause I've drove it. The power in that thing is sick!
 
Those fender flares are sweet. You should definatly go with a more subtle hood and set it up to handle like a monster.
