New fuel/brake lines. Re-ran the old vent line since one day it might be used as a return in a FI set-up.

Body meets frame for the last time I hope.

The body bushings I had removed (front is to the left, rear is to the right).

Had to cut three holes in the floor to get to plates that had broken cages. One of the plates had to be retapped, the others worked once the old bolt was removed. Will be welded shut once everything is torqued.

New poly bushings in place.

Ended up that the bolts that came with replacement body mount cages I bought are too short. The guy sells them with hockey pucks for bushing material and I wanted to use the poly ones. So I have to replace those bolts. I also need to find two more rear abutment to backing plate bolts since they seller left those out of the box. Rear brake lines still need to be modified for a custom set of braided lines which I'm going to be ordering soon (with the C5 adapter brackets for the front) and I have to weld the brake tabs to the housing and relocate the shocks as well. This is probably the last update for a few months since life is about to get busy.

Smallish update with no pics. I got the body torque'd back down, cleaned and painted a bunch of stuff including my jeep steering shaft, and I picked up a stock D5 converter. I'm thinking that I'm going to take the CZ valvebody (MCSS) from my supposedly bad transmission and put it in the supposedly good transmission (some generic application) with a shift kit.

Little bit of work. First was to get my steering box taken care of. I'm going from the stock box with 3.5 turns lock to lock to an 'XH' quick ratio box from a ws6 f-body that's 2.25 turns lock to lock. Pitman arms are different so I had to swap them.

This weekends completed work - steering box, brake line brackets, firewall, and poly motor mounts. Also spent some time starting some rear shock relocation brackets since they interfere with the LS1 rear discs. I also finished welding up the floor from where I had to cut it to get access to the motor mounts.

Just small updates. Sealed up the gas tank with an Eastwood kit, don't think I'll ever do that again. Went to put together the front suspension and realized the upper ball joints I bought years ago have the wrong hardware packet in them, so I have to replace those. Finished the rear shock relocation brackets and welded the rear brake line brackets to the bottom of the spring perch. Getting closer to being a roller.

As for parts, got a set of hotchkis springs:

And most of the inner structure of the SS nose. Still looking for the rest of the conversion.

Also picked up a transgo shift kit. Planning on taking the 'good' 200-4R from an olds and putting the 'bad' 200-4R CZF valvebody and governor in it.

Got a couple of hours over the weekend to pick at it. Got a set of new balljoints and got one side assembled. Spent the rest of the time cleaning up painting various things. Hopefully I'll find a few more hours to finish up the other side and put the gas tank in.

Finally some progress over Thanksgiving. Finished up the gas tank, but I still need to bend new lines before installing it and the new sending unit.

Got the steering linkage in:

Got the front suspension in, minus the shocks and brakes.

Rear suspension is together with the rear shock relocation brackets I made. Still need to cut and flare the stock replacement brakelines so I can use the flex hose.
