My 2016 Chrysler 300S nightmare...

2016 RAM, had 5,000 miles on it. Doing 80 in the middle of nowhere near Battle Creek, at 11pm, everything dies. Everything. No power anywhere. The main harness became unplugged under the brake pedal, great spot for it. Me and a colleague had to walk over 2 miles to get to a place to wait for a ride....it was freezing out. So jacket and shoes if your in a Dodge in winter.

The CEO of my work had a 200, thing completely died in rush hour on Mound and locked him in the car. It was due to a computer malfunction. Chrysler gave him another and the replacement did the same thing, but luckily he was at work in the parking lot the second time.

I dont have a dog in this fight, but didn't littlehomers aka Sean's hellcat just break?

That's definitely a bad example. it broke from wheel hop with sticky tires a night he was running 10s with it.

You can break any car if you try hard enough.

All you have to do is keep exact dates of issues and the dates that you brought in/picked up your car

This! If you haven't already, go today and get a little notepad and start logging EVERYTHING. Service dates, visits, phone calls, names, numbers, titles, etc

Agreed. Bone stock 4th Gen F-Bodies were known to break stock rear ends with just a set of sticky tires and a hookup

Wow, things escalated quickly in this post. LOL

The dealer didn't even call me with an update today. The car has been there since mid day Monday.

I sent an email to the sales manager (who I believe is the owner's son).

I made a timeline of all the events and communication with the dealer to this point like some of you suggested. Glad I did, because it seems like you remember everything until you try to write down dates and times. Easier to recall now than it would have been in a couple of days.

I sure hope this all works out for you!

All this talk got me doing a little research on Challengers since that's what I bought. What I'm finding is that they seem to be remarkably robust, with many out there with 200-300K miles and little to no unordinary maintenance or repairs. One guy even said he went to replace his original brake pads at 130K miles and decided to save them because there was still meat left! Many even running supercharged engines with over 100K blown miles! After reading this and my own experience so far, I am expecting many years of trouble free fun!

The car won't be done today. No surprise, because at this point I've pretty much given up on the idea of getting that car back in working order. They said they are running tests on the wiring from the oxygen sensors...

The dealer has supposedly contacted Chrysler about the possibility of a buy back. I am also trying to contact Chrysler directly about this.

The dealer just called and they are bringing my car back. Supposedly there were some wires criss crossed between different oxygen sensors. I don't know enough about these things to judge whether that actually makes sense...

Thats possible on the PCM side of things, I guess. I have seen a couple cars come from the factory pinned wrong but Im talking about 2 cars. Its rare.

One of our techs did it once. Car ran like crap. People do it on vettes all the time also . That car should have one 02 plug that is different tho to eliminate that issue
