Moving to the "D"...well Farmington Hills, close enough!

I work in FH and do not get peoples attracting to el patio. You walk in and the smell of bleach pounds you in the face. Their food is cheap and mediocre at best. It's the Coney Island of Mexican food.
I agree. Been there a couple of times and always had to run straight home after paying the bill.

Sent from my S6.

Welcome from Halsted & 14 mile area, there's a nice little Italian place in downtown Farmington. Just south of Grand River, on E side of Farmington Rd,
I think it's Luigi's Trattoria, Lots of places in "FOUNTAIN WALK" area as well.

The UPTOWN Grille, on 15mile (West Maple Rd.) just E of the #5 north extension. (Take 275 North of 96/296, to #5 N)

Lingenfelter's cars & coffee In Wixom every Sat 8-10am in summer time.

Shooting Range/Gun Store (Target Sports) on Orchard Lake Rd, Keego Harbor,

George

ps Matt/Alex, what's that slider place corner of 9? & Farm Rd or O.Lk Rd?

Awesome guys, thanks for the replies. We were just up in the area last night as my wife had a class. While she was in that I drove around the area a bit and was able to get the lay of the land somewhat.

You covered my next question! Thanks!

You covered my next question! Thanks!

Action Impact is closer (8 Mile and Beech) but I haven't been there in at least a couple of years. I seem to remember that they had a "no outside ammo" rule so you had to buy theirs to shoot there. I prefer Firearm Exchange (south side of 96 between Middlebelt and Merriman).

complete clusterfuck, from 3:30-6pm or later if theres a accident, or rain or snow, or its close to christmas,

Wait until next year when 275 is closed!

I'm a fat guy and I live in Farmington Hills. I'll put together a solid list for you when I get a minute.

Mexican has been covered. Los Tres Amigos is awesome.

For pizza I would add Bigalora Wood Fired Cucina. It's just over Tele in Southfield and it's outstanding.

Burgers - Red Coat Tavern is a must. Freakin unbelievable burger, smashburger, greene's as stated. All good.

Chinese - Empire Dynasty at 9 and middlebelt or House of Lee on Grandriver. I haven't found any better as of yet.

Has anybody tried the Jaws Jumbo Burgers at 13 and Orchard? Drove by it a ton, but don't know anybody who's been there.

I'll add it to our list. We are heading back up tonight for a meeting and likely venturing out for dinner afterwards.

Shooting Range/Gun Store (Target Sports) on Orchard Lake Rd, Keego Harbor,

Not a fan of Target Sports. I make the drive to Firing Line in Westland or I go to firearm exchange in Livonia.

Hmm. I live a mile from there and haven't tried it yet. We like Dynasty on 8 Mile west of Farmington Rd (in front of Kroger).

Been going to House of Lee since I was a kid. Same family has owned it the entire time. I'm probably biased but it's my favorite. Give the almond chicken a try.

Was just discussing dinner with the wife. She suggested Chinese so it looks like we'll be trying it out tonight. Thanks for the recommendation.

Yeah, they have a GREAT burger.
Cool little spot.
They got quite a bit of attention when jay Leno can to do a few shows here in the middle of the recession.
Named a burger after him, and invited him to come have one. Good marketing idea.
Bring cash, they don't take plastic.

Basement Burger Bar has to be one of the worst burgers I've ever had. El Patio isnt bad for cheap mexican. Alfoccino at Grandriver and Haggerty has good Italian food. Bronx Deli at 12mile and Halsted has great sandwiches and soups, Along with Picasso Deli on Grand River just west of Haggerty

Glad to see this come up. I just started a new position in FH myself and I've been looking for some insider knowledge. I'm just off of Halsted and Grand River. Sucks I fall in the "bankers hours" of 8-4.
