Race #4 will be at Milan Dragway (http://www.milandragway.com/) on Saturday, October 28th. This will be our standard Saturday morning times with Track opening at 8:30 for Tech and racing at 9:00AM. We'll run our program to Noon and be followed by the regular Milan Saturday TNT events at 1:00PM.

Everyone is welcome to come race. Only Active Club Members will be awarded Point Series Points to have a shot at getting your name on the MM Chris Jackson Memorial Cup for the 2006 race season.

Schedule:
8:30AM - Gates open and tech starts
9:00AM - Lanes open for TNT
10:30AM - Classes start running
Noon - Awards and wrap up

Cost Info:
We are going to keep the same cost split for racing this year with members racing for a $10 discount at each event. So the $40 savings pays for your $25 annual membership fee if you attend all four race events during your membership year.

Members that are current on their dues will race for $30.

Guests can race for $40 or they can pay the $25 membership fee and race for $30 for the day and receive the $10 discount on future races.

Spectators get in free as always. So bring the family or come watch your friends and have a good time.

Milan's regularly scheduled TNT will start at 1PM and they typically let us just walk to the gate to pay for a new tech card if you would like to continue racing after our event.

All classes require the standard safety equipment for your speed/ET to clear tech. If the track tells you to slow down... then that's what we have to do.

Class Summary:
Class 1 - Run what you brung quick 16. Fastest 16 cars get a shot at heads up racing. It's heads up, pro tree racing.

Class 2 - 11.99 and faster ET bracket racing. This one should have it all with turbo(s), juice and some SC cars coming out to play. Street tires, DRs and Slicks keep the racing fun and fast.

Class 3 - 12.00 and slower ET bracket racing. The battles are heating up in this competitive class.

Prize Money:
Each class will payout: 1st-$100, 2nd-$50, 3rd-$20 and 4th-$20.

Point Series Scoring:
1st place finish-5pts
2nd place finish-3pts
3rd place finish-1pt
4th place finish-1pt

Usually around 8:30. One time we lined up on the road instead of across the street and they waited until almost 9 am.

rick,

ya got mail :)

taner

also do the gates actually open at 8 or earlier?
Hi Taner,

At this point it's the standard track rental prep which is usually pretty solid to the 330' and varies to the 1/8th.

I'll check with Deneen and see if she want's to celebrate her promotion to company VP (congrats by the way if you read this before I call :D) with a good price on more glue. :) We'll have to see how it looks with the club's budget vs. bumping the track price up a couple of bucks if there is enough interest.

I still hold the record for the fastest pass for last time...

.23 :) try and catch me if you can :)
I had one where my 1/4 mile time was like 0.8x and my 60 ft was 1.55...lol!

I will be there with Dean and his Talon if the weather holds. Its the end of the year and time to max out the turbo!

so what is that, 55 dollars for the membership and to run? i'm not so good at math, just double checking.....

how busy is it usually? i just want to get a few runs in to see what the car can do before the snow starts sticking, don't really want to bracket race or anything.......

Yes, it would be $55 ($25 annual membership and the $30 member racing fee). The membership is for the full year and would be the same discount on every race during the coming year.

We usually have 35-45 cars. You can typically get as many runs in as you want before we run the 3 classes. Then we open it backup for more TnT after the classes have run or whenever we need a little cool down time for the class 1 cars.
