(SOLD).............

Well I think the time has come.......putting my 86 GT on the market. Wife and I are shopping for houses and car hasn't been used much at all so moving on to a new chapter. This is not a fire sale, I love this car so serious buyers only.

Bought this car from GA, rust free beautiful car. Last year I started adding more mods, finished up around November 2014 so with Michigan winter around the corner car was put away for storage over winter. Was going to get dyno tuned and enjoy this summer but now house shopping for my growing family is a priority over toys/cars. Please let me know if you have any questions, I can give you the full run down of the car and my ownership. Previous owner owned it for 15 years, I've had it about 2 years adding maybe 200 miles before extra mods. Never raced, used as street car and cruise nights.

Thanks for looking, Doug 248-420-57 three five or [email protected]

No local interest on the car?......is it priced to high or are 4 eyes not the ticket these days? Any constructive comments or thoughts are appreciated to help me sell with out giving it away. Lot's of money and time into this car, have a folder full of receipts from what parts I've bought and put into it.

I think it's worth it to the right person. It's a gorgeous car and it's obvious there's a lot of $ into it.

One thing to take into consideration is not a lot of people have that money in their bank accounts and may need to get a loan which is harder to get on something that old unless you have A-1 credit and a good credit union that'll work with you.

I'm guessing the biggest reason is the price. I'm not saying your price is out of line, I personally think when you start having to price a fox over 10K it really limits the people who can purchase the car. You're cutting out a lot of people who don't have 10K+ saved up that they can blow on a toy. It's tough to get financed for a car that is nearly 30 years old without the interest rate being silly. What you need is some old guy(like me who is 40) that just has to have a car from his youth.(my first car was an 85 GT) This will take some patience on your part but we're out there. :)

I really dig the car, I love the 85/86 cars. The only issue for me is the sunroof, I'll never own a fox bodied mustang with the sunroof. :(

X2 you beat me to it! Started typing before your post but the kids drug me away from the computer for a bit.

Thanks for the feedback....I would say your dead on....LOL. I didn't have the money either and got a loan from my bank but then again I'm a member at a credit union and had a long history so they were cool with lending.

x2.....thanks for the feedback. I'm open to a nice offer that's close but definitely not going to give it away as that's not the situation I'm in and will just enjoy it. Funny what you state because that's exactly how I sold a boat I had a few years back. Retired ex-cop from Texas flew up to buy it and drove it home, wanted a toy for retirement and had the money. :)

Thats not an oem sunroof, Rick.. shouldn't be as susceptible to rust as bad as the Ford ones if it was installed right.

I'm not sure if OEM or not but there isn't 1 spec of rust on this car and the headliner is new with custom tuck in corners. No issues with weather stripping or any seals. Hey at least it's not a T-Top......LOL

oem sunroof cars has vynal sunvisors IIRC

Local guy coming by today to check out the car. Seems serious and cash in hand so might be gone soon. Will update if car sells. Thanks Motown

Local person looked again today, hoping can work something out. Will update if sells or not, have others inquiring about looking so think she will have a new home soon. Thanks Motown.

Hopefully you sell it before I decide to change my mind about owning a fox with a sunroof!

I agree Rick, I recently made an offer on an eBay car like this. This is a great looking ride, with nice upgrades. Please sell it soon so I can stop dreaming of buying it and cutting the roof off to not have a sunroof!!!!

:banghead:

I was thinking I would just replace the metal that was cut out when the sunroof was put in. It can't be that hard and should be able to blend the roof pretty easy. Gotta stop thinking about this!
