Metallica brings the Orion Music + More Festival to Detroit in 2013!

Saw that yesterday, I will be there \m/

Hopefully The Black Dahlia Murder gets on the bill again.

anyone know what ticket prices are going to be?

Not cheap. I don't think they've announced prices yet, but last year's was $175 for both days, or $90 for a single day. $150 for early bird (whatever that was) and $750 VIP.

I'm just hoping that they announce the set list before tickets go on-sale, as I'm only really interested in hearing their old stuff. e.g. If they did Kill Em All on Sat night, and Master of Puppets or And Justice For All... on Sunday, that would be pretty sweet.

People still like to watch Ozzy lip sync?

I'll go and enjoy Ozzy when they literally push him out in a wheelchair to just sit there.

That's not bad considering the event, though. Sure other rock/metal events are cheaper but most Metallica shows are nearly $90 just to get in the door anyway.

Usually, a Metallica show lately, has been $75 for anywhere. Main floor? $75. Reserved seat lower bowl? $75. Nose bleed? $75.

There will be a Metallica Fan Club early pre-sale, then the public sale. And I wouldn't expect to see prices too different from the 2012 pricing. All the details come out sometime in February.

Yeah, no way I'm missing this one. Friends from all over are coming in for the show. I wanted to go last year, but over $3k in car repairs in a 2 month window shut that down.

So what's included for the astronomical price of $750? Do I get like private guitar lessons with James Hetfield or something?

I'll go but lineup isn't all that great.
