theres so many opinions on ls1tech i just want to get some opinions from here.
i've got a lot of questions i hope i can get answered so i can put this together in a few weeks.
i'm build a iron 408 stroker for my 98 camaro. hopeing for 500rwhp
dont want it to be a straight up strip car but it won't be a d/d
i want to do things once and do them right.
--heads are the l92's looking for a shop who has delt with l92's to get them ported
not sure on a cam yet since not alot of people like to share their cam specs
my pistons are flat top diamonds withvalve reliefs, how much am i going to have to mill my heads to get a c/r that is safe with 94 octane, i'm thinking 12.5:1 would be a max maybe? not 100% sure.
also what thickness headgaskets should i run and where to get them for a 4.030 bore
valve srings?
what timing chain should i use and oil pump?
lifters?
since i have a iron block what valley cover do i use, are the front and rear covers the same as the ls1's?
