Looking for my old Ford Lightning I sold years ago to MM member who i believe passed away.

The trail dried up. Kevin's brother-law told me that his brother (who bought it from Kevin) sold it out of state two years ago and doesn't have any info anymore on who bought it.

Sorry Mark. Looks like you're going to have to try the SOS route.

DOH. Any idea what state? maybe I can hunt it down on NLOC.net or F150online.com.

the secretary of state will only have information for Michigan. I need to find a police friend and give them the VIN and see if they can pull it up through LIEN.

The State of Michigan title will get turned back in. The SoS should have the last transfer of that title.

I may be interested in selling our 99 Lightning. It has 25000 original miles and still wears the tires that came with it. It has a Cervini ram air hood and t-gate spoiler and is in like new condition. the color is black, and has a roll top bed cover, MAC cat back exhaust and cold air kit. saw snow only 1 time since new.

well.. decisions decisions.

The truck has 55k miles on it. Current owner only put 10k in the last 4 years of owning it. It still looks clean, but the undercarriage will need por-15. And we agreed on a price.

now only decision is to buy it or not. I literally do not have any room to store it and need to sell some toys. (2 quads (plus storing 3 for friends), a boat, 2 trailers, 3 mustangs, jet skis, my dd, wifes dd)

Why agreed on a price if you're kicking tires?

Why are you looking at it if you don't have room and don't need it? How much sentimental value is in it? Conceived your kid in it?

I'm getting it.

However, Last night seller tells me it has a lien on it and will take 10-14 days to clear. UGH! i lined up a truck and trailer from different friends to leave tonight. Luckily I can use it all next weekend.
I had to call his bank and find out the procedure and then tell the seller how to get the lien removed and the release overnighted to him. But the liens are in California, so they have to find it and then send it to him.

So hopefully next weekend. Fine with me as I can find a friend to go along. i didn't want to carry that much cash alone.

I made a little room. A friend wanted to buy my '69 for years, so I'm selling it to him. He can finish it up. I think i going to give him the '70 as well.
