Those headers are sweet. What was the purpose of having them exit out front?

clearance issues.
the motor sat 2" lower and 1" back. the driveline and pinion angle were as straight as i could get them.
and with it being a stick car it made it easy for clutch adjustments and tranny servicing without removing the headers everytime.
not too mention the car sounded absolutely sick at 9000 rpm.

what that car run?

it never made a pass down the track only the street. but from my experience i would be willing to bet it would run high 9's.
it was a true 302 stock bore and stroke.TEA 225 highports and i would shift it at 8700 rpm and the thing was a buzz saw.it only wieghed 2660# with me in it. i never got a chance to get the car down the strip before big daddy warbucks from texas seen it on the bullet and offered me a ton of money for it. so i let it go as a roller . i still have the motor and i plan on putting in the car i'm building now. and thats going to my road and track car and looking to achieve 180+mph with it.
my corvette and viper street sweeper.

Yes, sir. I did. Thanks again. It was just the case seal, it wasn't in the channel correctly. :)

Glad to see you got it worked out. Its a beautiful car. I want to see that thing run on a good tire this year! It ran pretty good last year on those rubber bands.
