Lemon Law Lawyer Needed - Any Recommendations ?

Guys,

Had a thread about my Escape being in service. Well now I am at 31 days out of service, the Ford rep that I have been working with still wants to fix the car.

Has anyone tackled this themselves? Do I need a lawyer to make them buy this car back?

From my understanding as part of the lemon law I can sue for legal fees as well.

As always advice is appreciated.
 
when my Toyota turned out to be a pile, I just got a lawyer. My situation was tough because I was packing miles on like crazy so Toyota said I wanted to lemon law it because I regretted the miles. My lawyers got them to settle and pay me half the value of the car. i took the cash and sold it. I'd recommend getting a lawyer.
 
Pretty sure I used him back in 97. Did he used to in Dearborn Heights or soemwhere on that side of town?

I contacted Steve, he seems very knowledgeable. I am going to send him over the service records and documentation for review. He said in cases like this that are cut and dry it should be simple. Did mention you have to serve any of the Big 3 with paperwork before they will take the buy back seriously. We shall see.
 
I have a friend that does this, he does pretty good so im assuming he is good at his job. His name is Steve Toth, his office is in garden city.

The op knowing to 'check' for that "P number" might have been overlooked if this thread was never started by the op.

This is just now being settled, Steve was the man and took care of it. I would recommend him to anyone having similar trouble.

The process is very long and in my case I had some further troubles with the car and Ford Corp would not work on the car. I guess not un-common.

But the Escape is being returned last week of the month! Been thinking about painting a big lemon on the back window for the dealer :)

What was the resolution?
When they take it back do they just give you fair market value?

In my case there wasn't any real dispute from Ford, they just dragged their feet. Had to file several motions to even get them to respond.

They are buying the car back , paying off the entire loan, they also have to pay me every payment I made including the down payment and the lawyers fees.

Steve did work.
 
There is a depreciation the manufacturer charges you, but because my car was so new when first trouble reported they could only charge $95
