Law Help! Michigan Medical Marijuana

so what did they say the "fake" report was for them to come in the first place? did someone call and just randomly give the cops your address and made up something just for something to do? just curious

When the cops asked what it was I said Catnip and scraped it in my hand and threw in in the trash. They then began to look around and seen on my entertainment stand 2 roaches. They then looked in a closed small cardboard box and found about a gram of marijuana in a plastic bag.

I only have a criminal justice degree and by no means a lawyer, but if this is true sounds like illegal search and seizure to me. Just because your mother let them in the house doesn't give them the right to open boxes in the house, etc. Never let police search anything rather you have something to hide or not, too many cops out there push the limits of what they can legally do.

They said they had a report that I was involved in a fight the night before. At some bar on Ford Rd.. They Cleared me of all of those charges. I just obtained a lawyer for 2500.00 for the matter of the Possession. He said based on the fact that I did have prior clearance from a doctor to use marijuana for medicinal purposes they would have to throw the charges out. he said they courts may want a written letter from my doctor and proof that I had the clearance before the incident occurred. I have had back problems for the last 5 years. For the people who think it's wrong to smoke pot, just think about how many people you personally know who are or have been addicted to prescription pills.

I can come up with is your a stoner that leaves catnip (ya sure budy) out on the table, you have pot in your closet (That's not yours) and in your car (again you say isn't yours). Your a single parent that lives with your mom. (You live with your mom, whether or not it's your lease, you still live with your mom.)

I know a few pot heads who "blew smoke" up some doctors ass just to get those medical cards so they can grow/smoke without getting busted.
Long story longer.. One of these stoner's gone through 3 cars in 1 year cause he was too stoned to stop (reaction time?) and nailed the car in front of him.. such a loser

I think this is the major problem in the system at this point. If they can fix that, I think Medical Pot will be useful.
 
Bunch of damn haters in here!

Good luck with the charges, $2500 seems a little steep but then again I've only had traffic tickets.

Its not an Illegal search if they had probable cause. I.E. They were at the door and seen the "catnip" on the table and in there eyes it looked to be marijuana. After seeing that they then have the right to ask to search the house which it sounds like the O.P. or his mother allowed.
