It's finally in Forza..... Forza players get inside...

Today they announced Infineon Raceway. Hellll yeah. I also hope that being their promo for Infineon Raceway that is using "in game footage" is also using "in game audio" -- because those sounds are far better than anything else I have heard.

More updates. Looks like the cars revealed on the 2nd are probably the cars you can start with. I'd be willing to bet on it.

apparently the warthog will be in the show car area.

And that's the way it should be. Autovista mode only. Thank god. Last thing I want is to get in a race and have some douche bag in that thing running everyone off the track....

It'll be tough enough with the Hummer H1 Alpha lumbering around! lmfao

I cannot wait though --- Jeremy Clarkson's voice overs are going to be EXCELLENT to listen too in AutoVista mode. His opinions on the cars will be awesome to hear, and since he isn't a technical guy when he tries to explain things it should be humorous as well.

If they had him + Richard & James, it would be insane how much entertainment could be brought to the game solely through commentary.

Will they be adding decent 1/4 mile action in this one?

It is supposed to be MUCH better. They worked with Pirelli in gathering tire and traction data. They say now sidewall flex, tire temperatures, track conditions, tire size, etc etc etc... it ALL is supposed to play a MAJOR role in how the car feels and grips.

I guess they completely trashed the physics from Forza 3 and started fresh with this.

That would be pretty cool. It would have been better if they had gotten with BFG and offered a drag radial combo.

Not only has Turn 10 rebuilt the physics engine from scratch, they've also tried to address one of the most glaring problems with Forza 3, the tires. That's why, for enthusiasts anyway, the most important addition to the game is going to be the tire physics. Thanks to a partnership with Pirelli, Turn 10 has completely redone the modeling for tire dynamics. The tire company let them inside their testing system to give the game a soup-to-nuts data download and allow them to directly input it into the game.

This.

Ask and receive.

For Forza 4, we’ve added a drag racing tire compound. This tire compound has more accelerative peak grip than the racing slicks, but has extremely poor cornering characteristics. Frankly, this compound is horrible to drive on a road course, but launches like a rocket. This compound also wears much faster and reacts to heat differently than the other tires in the Pirelli dataset. Because Forza is an automotive sandbox, we allow you to use this tire in regular road racing--however, you’re probably going to want to change the “damage and wear” difficulty settings to cosmetic. With the proper tuning setup, we’ve been able to use these tires to get wheelstands, but it also requires strong clutch control and car with the “right” center of mass.

BAD ASS! I honestly don't care about the drag racing at all. But it is awesome that they are trying to get it right. Plus it gives you more options for getting bored and fucking around road racing. Who is up for a 20 lap race around Tsukuba requiring everyone to run drag radials with tire wear on? :)

Ohhhh yeah!!!! Looks like I'm getting Madden '11 and Forza 4 :baddancin Now I've just got to get online with it. What the best option?

Isn't XBOX Live the only option? The newer XBOXes have integrated wireless adapters, right? Seems like you got yours after that started happening but I don't know exactly when they started that nor when you got yours. If you have wireless internet and the integrated wireless adapter you are signing up from XBOX Live away from being able to play online. It isn't that expensive, I'm not sure what it costs though. It's a yearly thing, like $50 a year maybe? I don't remember. Mine is probalby even expired right now I haven't used the XBOX in so long.

I think I've had it going on 3 years. Hmmmm I'll have to check it out.

Maybe I made up the part about them being built in on the newer boxes. I don't know. I swear that happened though. If you don't have a wireless adapter those are $50. Or you can plug an ethernet cable into it if your modem is near by.

June of 2010 appears to be when the integrated wireless started so if you've had yours a few years you'll have to buy a wireless adapter, or plug in the cable.

More I am reading:

There have also been changes in the “Aero and Appearance” section of the Upgrade Shop. Most cars with distinct, standalone front and rear bumpers now offer an option to remove the bumpers. For a more period-correct look, specific models receive vintage motorsport-inspired front and rear aerodynamics, and add paintable headlight covers for a race-ready look. Some muscle cars now offer aftermarket drag racing style hood options in both Pro Stock and classic cowl-induction configurations. You’ll also have the ability remove the factory rear wing or spoiler from some cars, and for the ultimate upgrade, some cars allow you to purchase OEM appearance packages available only from the factory, completely transforming the look of your car. While not every car has each of these options, the new options and features are going to open up a new world of customization options for racers, painters, and photographers to experiment with.

Fantastic! So you can now delete bumpers off of the classics like true hot rods... Also having proper hoods for muscle cars will be awesome.. AND the spoiler delete will be great as well for increasing top speed!

Edit: Also... Picture mode -- HOLY MASSIVE RESOLUTION!!

That rear caliper looks HILARIOUS compared to the front. Sometimes I wonder why they bother putting rear brakes on some cars
