X3..We all have done this..This is why I quit drinking 20+ yrs ago.
HP and drinking dont mix..not even a little.
I am sure your road to recovery will be well earned & learned lesson.
I wish you a speedy one..in turn I believe next time you will think twice about who else cares about you and alter your driving practice.

By the way I've been WAY too drunk to drive at times, but I still did. Thank God I never killed anyone. I have grown up alittle bit since those times. We all make mistakes, some worse then others.
 
You obviously don't need a lecture to understand you have fucked up.
You are very lucky to be alive and also to have not taken someone else's life.
Use this experience to take stock of your behavior and what is important to you.
You can be the better for the experience. That's really all any of us can hope for in the end. Take care and good luck.
 
We ALL make/made mistakes in our lifes that we hopefully learn from. Had alcohol played a facter in this accident hopefully this opens your eyes just abit and you NEVER make this mistake again. If you do make it again, then we can ebash you to death.

This is true. It is quite possible that he (or his girlfriend) has misplaced a "0", and that the actual reading was 0.009. That would be more inline with the amount-over-time that he claims. Alot of people mess the decimals up when they quote their BAC levels (people often say they were a 2.0 or s 1.5 or whatever, which is basically impossible).

Maybe we should abstain from hammering him until the dust clears from his brainpan and he can post the actual/accurate numbers. Not that he is obligated to share that information with us in the first place, but I think if there is a misplaced "0", he'll want to clarify.

He's lucky to be alive in any case! Good luck in your recovery.

this guy only got 7 years for killing my pops.
but Lapeer court system is a joke anyways, they almost let him off with no jail time at all, then i would have had to "accidentally" hit him with my truck as soon as he walked out of court a free man.

god i wish my dad was driving his truck that day, instead of his Harley.

if i was you, id consider myself lucky, recover, and do something useful with the rest of your life.
