So you were legally drunk and driving recklessly to the point where you sent a nearly stock Mustang GT into several spins and took flight and broke a telephone pole IN HALF roughly 10ft off the ground...on public roads.

Be glad you didn't kill a friend or family member of mine. If you did you'd never leave that hospital bed or walk again.

I don't feel sorry for you. I am however sorry that ONLY your car was taken from you.
 
Also, don't expect me to apologize or take back anything I am saying. I speak my mind, regardless of whether people like what I have to say or not.

Let the neg rep come, I don't give a fuck. What you did was wrong and you should pay dearly for your mistakes!
 
I am with Al on this.... I have no sympathy for Drinking and Driving. Can not imagine the outcome if another life was taken. Say my Daughter, wife or son! How about anyone else, their friends and family???

Would all of you be tip toeing around what happend here then?

I've got no sympathy for drinking and driving. Not much different than firing a gun into a crowd and for that you would get a long stay in prison.
 
I agree with Al,Krazy,and FAST...

I have had to BURY classmates and friends for people who made this kind of mistake. You're really fucking lucky in every which way possible. I'll leave it at this...
 
Well, it would be nice to know what the actual police report said before jumping on his case. He thinks it was a .09...it could have been less in the actual report. Although, cars don't just do aerobatics on their own...something was going down. Either way, glad you're ok, and that nobody else was injured. Just take it as a lesson learned.
 
I too have buried friends and family members because of drunk drivers. Many of us have. The drunks always walk away. Not all my friends and family have been so lucky.
 
You had alot more than 3 beers in 3.5 hours to get you BAC up to 0.09. Either that, or you slammed 3 beers down in about 20 minutes.
 
Well I understand everyone will have there own opinions and believe me i respect that and what you guys are saying. I feel that the drinks that were had that night were had in moderation and my one per hour for 3 hour's that night is considered responsible. But i just figure i would share my story with you guys. Thank all of you for all your support and i will hope to see you out there after my recovery....

All you guys who are ripping on this guy need to take a step back and think for a minute. Are all of you saying that you've NEVER driven while impaired???

If you are saying that, I am of the opinion that you are LYING.

If you are not saying that, I am of the opinion that it was just LUCK that kept you from doing the same thing he did!

That was with a weight of 200lbs, drinking 6 12oz beers in 1 hour

Sorry, but not in my case. Anyone that knows me can vouch...I don't drink. I've had 2 beers in my life...one was to celebrate my birthday, and the other was to celebrate a new job. Both of those times were on a full stomach, and I still waited an hour before driving.

I have only done it a very FEW and I mean FEW times but, I never got in the car for HOURS... And I am talking a good 5 hours if not more... And I hardly drink if I ever do drink... Every other time I called a cab or hitched a ride... I am not saying I'm perfect, but the kid obviously had a good amount to drink... A guy from Livernois posted under there name saying the night before on Friday he was trying to race people while he was getting out of his car with a BEER in his hand...

I "HAD"... Had is the Key word! I grew up, but nor did I send any car flying 10ft in the Air and almost kill myself or anyone else! If you want to call me a hypocrite so be it. All I was saying is that people are missing the point with what happend and were (possibly) tip toeing around what could be the facts. Am I glad he is OK, YES. Am I sympathetic If it was due to Drinking - NO!
