Intercooled vortech project

 you should have seen it with the A/W aftercooler on there. I tried my best to hide all the coolant lines but they were still everywhere!

I just finished buttoning a few things up and think ill take it for a spin seeing tha tI just put my insurance on it again.

here are a few better pics after I took it for a drive and to fill it up with new gas! ~10 month old gas doesnt do so well with boost! I cant believe how well it drives without really touching the tune, I do have to mess around with the part throttle and light load tables a bit to get it perfect but it starts right up with no surging like I was having last year with the aftercooler. THIS BLOW OFF VALVE IS LOUD!!!!

Im seeing much lower temps consistently. I see nothing more than 130* with no airflow. under boost I see temps more than 40* lower.

on the highway under light load on a 80* day I was seeing ~110* air temps

do you think I should get rid of the stock IAT in the #5 lower intake runner and use the MAF IAT sensor? are they calibrated the same? Im just thinking that the stock sensor is getting old for one thing and may not be very accurate and that its getting erally heatsoaked.

Overall its a much better setup for my driving habits than the aftercooler was. the aftercooler got heatsoaked very fast where as the intercooler doesnt.

Yeah I would relocate the IAT to the MAF. It will require playing with the tuneup a little bit but should work alot better. You will get better and more accurate readings as well.

are the stock sensors in a fox the same as the built in sensors in the MAFs? meaning, If i just run the wires from the stock one to the MAF will it work?
