Intercooled vortech project

is that a Cobra insert with the internals removed?

looks sweet, and id love some higher res pics for desktop purposes as well.

Rick,

its actually a fiberglass version of the cobra insert. it never had any mount for the horse or anything behind it, just an open hole.

I dont even know what brand it was, I got it from someone on the corral.

I noticed you have a 90 as well, what size wheel and tire are you running up front? With my 17X8 Tri bar wheel, I run a 245 up front and it drives like stock, with my 17X9 Anny wheels with a 255 upfront, I catch the plastic on the extension.

just curious, your sits prefect and just looks sweet dude. +1 for a hott Fox.

thanks Rick!

The wheels are OEM 95 cobra -R's (17x9) and tires are 245-45-17 fronts with 275-40-17 rears.

i have OEM 97 cobra wheels (17x8) with 255-40-17's all around but havent fitted them yet believe it or not so im not sure if they will hit the extension or not. the 245's on my 95-R's dont hit at all.

finally fired it up last night for about 10 minutes!!! shut it off because it was 10pm.

thanks goes out to Mike (OMG ITS BEAN), he sent me 2 silicone couplers that worked perfectly for what I needed them for. ALL FOR FREE! I cannot thank you enough!

Ill try to get a video with a crappy camera as soon as I can.

So how is that gonna work with you venting boost to the atmosphere? Dosent to BOV have to vent back into the inlet to keep the MAF happy? Or is there a way around it with the Anderson deal?

if you covert to blow thru instead of draw thru you can revent it or vent to atmosphere, thats what i did.

yep! im running a blow through MAF now in the drivers side fender.

today was a hell of a day, didnt get the pics up yet. will do it tomorrow.

havent really had a chance to test it all that much but they are ~140* at idle but havent given it a good WOT run yet to see full load temps. so far im really happy with it.

for some reason, my throttle response is amazingly quick compared to what it was before... could the blow-thru MAF (new of course to my setup) cause this?

heres a crude pic for now. I have lots of cleaning and polishing to do

Ill get better ones when I finally get the car outside and in the sun/ washed.
