Inexpensive place on the Eastside to have a Class D CAR AUDIO amplifier repaired??

I hope you're joking. A Fosgate? LMFAO!!!! I don't by my A/V stuff at Meijer or KMart, sorry. Hell, why not go all out and get one of those hot new Jensen or Audiovox amps?!?!?!

And yes, my threads always go the distance. Hate it or love it, homie I ain't concerned!

It turns out that the problem might be a bad MASTER/SLAVE switch on the amp. So there is either a loose connection there that needs to be professionally repaired or the amp needs to be replaced.

last I saw Meijer or Kmart doesn't sell this:http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/prod..._id=6&family_id=21&item_id=91945&locale=en_US

these amps are super clean power & don't distort they have been around since you were in diapers.

I've had a few Fosgate amps and I've wasted them all. When I decided to step up with the bigger boys I moved up to the big Sony slabs and then the Orion HCCA's. I have also had a few Fosgate subs and the best one they made (as far as I was concerned in respect to comparable priced subs) were their HX2's. I went to 4 of those in the last Explorer when I got rid of my Orion XTR subwoofers and picked up almost half a db by doing so.

Fosgate amps got gay and crappy when they started chroming all of their shit to make it look pretty.

he was being facetious. rockford is a shell of it's former self. they are in the same boat as PPI and soundstream. once great stuff, now only decent stuff.
redvette93 knows all! Don't try to educate the all-knowing, they alreay know everything.

By the way, for anyone else who would like to fire off some "more popular brand whore name" A/V goods that are sold to you by the typical sales guy who sells the shit to you at huge mark up because they know you are a "main stream brand name whore," PPI, Fosgate, and Audiobahn are all companies who at one point put out good products. They all decided to later start chroming everything, and making it look pretty to the ricey buyer who wanted bling instead of quality. More money towards bling, while still offering the shit at close to the same price as before = less money for R&D and quality parts.

But, you probably already knew that. :D

Geezus 15 fucking pages on where to get an amp fixed?? :gives:

I ain't readin all that shit
Keep in mind that out of the entire 150 posts, there was only ONE suggestion into where would be a good place to get the amp serviced.

Probably because we all know that you're such an expert that you would know what's wrong, and where to take it..

Al, if you need another option, my cousin owns Audio Trends. He has a couple stores. They might be able to help you out.

Try ABL electronics in Madison Hgts or Royal Radio in RO.
ABL on like 14 mile or so? If so I have taken home reciever, and 301 disc DVD/CD changer, and a camcorder to them. My experiences with them have been less than pleasant and I'll likely never go back. 3 was enough for me.

Thanks for the suggestion, though. :beerchug:

I'm good at making cars loud and clear with the right parts, not fixing the shit inside of those parts when they break.
