Impressed with the gas mileage from my new Fusion!

Wow, this took a turn.

I'm not drinking the "plug-in kool-aid" but I love my C-max. I plug it in at home to charge over night, I didn't track my electric bill prior to getting the car, but I have track it since. Yes, my bill has gone up, but again because you can program the vehicle to charge on "off peak" hours, it is VERY minimal. I'm lucky enough to have 4 charging station here at the dealership to charge it during the day. I'm paying $199 a month for a fully loaded (navi, leather, fixed glass roof) vehicle that during the warmer weather months I can drive to and from work and not use an ounce of fuel doing 70-75. While not a "manly" car, it's very practical to lend to customers, DD and if I want/need to up my carbon foot print I still have a F-150.

This is where most think their doing good...

Chances are your carbon footprint is larger with a plug in hybrid vehicle. Most of our electricity comes from coal. Well to wheel emissions are worse on EVs.
