I appreciate the ricer movement because back when I started working on cars if I was debating on whether I should put a big wing on a 100HP car I would worry that everyone would think I was retarded.

But now I have ricer magazines, ricer TV shows, and NOPI car shows to clearly define the boy racer, ricer, fag, retard line.

There is nothing wrong with imports. Its the retards who are ignorant who ruin it for the true import enthusiats...like this guy. If its fast and clean, I like it. Dosent matter what it is. Corvette, Supra, Mustang, Camaro, EVO, STI, etc...dosent matter to me. And this guy who wrote this letter is a true ricer. If you go talk to some serious import guys who are competitive and know what they are talking about, they'll show great respect for a clean, mean sounding V8.

Now...as for imports hitting the same HP/TQ numbers as a domestic built V8...

The only way a built honda motor is going to see over 350 horsepower is by building it with boost. Even to get 300hp out of a N/A Honda motor is really expensive and quite hard. Seriously...look into it if you dont believe me.

I've seen 9 second street civic hatches, but they are all pushing over 30 LBS of boost on top of a completeley built to the tilt motor.

I've seen 8 second EVO 8's that were driven on the street....pushing around 40 LBS of boost...

I've seen Supras that would whoop the shit out of anything any of us have...but they are all pushing massive ammounts of boost. As a matter of fact, there is a Supra in flordia that just dynod at 1630 RWHP at 64 LBS of boost. Street drivin. He can only go from a roll, because he cant get traction for shit, but yeah its fucking fast.

There are some sweet imports out there...but to get high hp numbers, they are boosted. But never the less, awesome.

BUT....take a smallblock...or big block...and boost it...Uh-Oh....now its fucking crazy.

To each man his own...I'm planning on getting a EVO as a daily driver some time in the near future...great street car, decently fast out of the factory. but my drag car is gonna be the Trans Am sittin in the garage. I'd have it no other way.

There is a website...centralfloridaturbo.com They build high HP imports and tuners...then one day they decided to get a SN95 Mustang GT coupe for shits n' giggles to see what they could do with it. Its completely nasty and on low boost pushes crazy horsepower numbers. I think it was on 13 lbs of boost like 700 hp. It could be cranked up to 30 lbs if needed. Just goes to show you...Displacement is fucking KING. Those guys who KNOW what the hell they are doing with imports take a "enemy" domestic car and made it faster than their own shop drag cars. Hmmmm...yep. :dontknow:
 
I'll take my stock 302 with 205rwhp/240tq over a 4cyl with 200hp/140tq... ANY day of the week :)

This is a true statement, i dont mind the guys that actually know what they are talkin about and know that you cant make up for displacement, i just cant stand the true ricers who always wanna bash the domestic guys. most people with mustangs, camros, ta's, etc wont start talkin shit to an import guy until he opens his mouth and lets it be known hes a ricer that doesnt like domestics
