so is this a common thing? Is there a river near by? drain issues?

not familiar with the area Dave please elaborate.

what cute little bunny rabbit did you try to catch it?

Hines Drive goes through Hines Park, which was built/designed purposely to act as a flood plain

where?

there are picnic/park areas all along it, and all those ones parked in the last ones are along a park area, which can be accessed by dry roads
I think shes talkin about the cars that are under water...why would you park and LEAVE your car there?

It doesnt get to that level instantly. If its raining...u wouldnt go get your car?

Or people didnt realize that it floods....now they know!

both those cars were driven into the water, neither is in a parking area, the roof one is even turned sideways in the road, like they were trying to get out, then it died

I think there may be a design flaw

lol

Hines Drive is an excellent place for walkers, runners, families, cyclist. The park stretches 18 miles from Dearborn all the way to Northville. The drive and bike path follow along side the rouge river. Occasionally during the spring and summer the parkway is closed to motor vehicle traffic due to flooding. This isn't a surprise since Hines Park was essentially designed as a flood control plane.
