Google Chrome issues. Anyone else?

I've wracked my brain but for the life of me, I can't log into Chrome Sync on a new freshly installed computer.
It just times out.
It's almost like Microsoft killed it and google tech forums show almost nothing.
I've tried my DNS, Google DNS and turning off the firewall completely
Nothing.

Chrome gets sync issues every so often, I've experienced it in both Windows and Linux. Do you have 2 factor authentication enabled? That seems to be where the issue happens on my end. If you're using 2 factor, you may have to use one of the 10 backup codes they supply instead of them texting you the standard 6 digit code.

Have you tried it from a different machine just to see if it's isolated to the new one?

yea, it's for sure this particular one. fresh Win10 Pro install (not an upgrade) all the machines at work and all my laptops are fine.

Get this, it was the power supply. Changed it and the machine worked fine.

Happened to me starting last night, was barking about an update error. Saved all my bookmarks, uninstalled chrome, downloaded fresh copy reinstalled, everything works again.

years back I had a machine that wouldn't play sound and we tracked it to the power supply. (Swollen caps)
I guess bad power causes odd issues.
