Fun to drive/Sporty 4-door sedans. Recommendations?!?!?

I just bought an exceptionally clean, as in LIKE-NEW condition '97 Deville for $3500. This car has an absolutley awesome ride and is really quiet. It feels like a 15 second car with the Northstar V-8. This thing has new tires, brakes, battery and all maintenance is up to date and it is MINT and drives like new. I've been averaging 21.5 mpg commuting to work. The previous owner, a neighbor, says he gets 28 MPG on the hwy. I cannot believe this car for $3500. It has side airbags and all the bells and whistles. If you can find one of these, go for it!

My friend ran his dads 02 at the track and ran 15.1-15.2 6 times. Very nice ride.

Check out left over Fusions and Milans. They would be brand new with good financing and I will give you my friends and family discount. My cousin got a V6 fusion for around that. (sticker minus a-plan minus rebates) Plus you would get 0% financing and not the current 4.9% plus crap that's out there right now. Put a set of wheels with your sound system and that would be a pimpin ride..

BTW check out used Lincoln LS's. Buck cheap for the options and money..
My dad works for Ford and I can get his A-Plan. The Fusion and Milans are too small for my liking. The LS's might be an idea...

Thanks for the suggestions and offer.

Price is good, but miles are way too high and If I get a 3800 it has to be supercharged.

01 or 02 chrysler 300m. Not really anything to mod but a decent 4 door sedan in your price range.

02 Acura TL you can find em for $15,000 $18,000 with anywhere from 40,000 to 50,000 miles (Type S for a little more money)

01 or 03 STS would be the best buy for mileage and money

4 door infinitti G35 Auto Trader 03 46,000 miles $18,000

2004 Jetta GLI for sale

New price of 16k, now with 36k miles on it. And a brand new windshield today (thanks to Trunk).

I was just curious as to what some of you thought were fun to drive/sporty/reliable/mod-friendly 4-door sedans.

Please do not even bother recommending a Neon (of any kind), a Cobalt, or any of those other little cars. For what it's worth, the smallest vehicle I would look at would be an Audi S4. Also, no wagons. (ie Subaru/Saab/Volvo wagons)

I'm looking to get another toy soon, so a fairly low payment on a decent DD would be preffered. Let's sayyyyyy, no higher than a $15,000 sale price.

**I'm also not willing to lease a vehicle. I hate rationing my mileage and I'd hate even more to mod a car I knew I had to turn in and likely de-mod before I did so.**

What would some of you suggest.

I really like the car, just ready for something new. For some reason people think it looks like a BMW 3 series.

Not bad. A little small for my liking, but I can dig the sportiness of it. Good crash test rating, and good on gas. Hmmmm.

Read through the posts lets get the mechanics opinions

Lincoln stay away from the LS lots of problems from the A/C condensor cores rupturing to massive electrical issues. the 200-2004 models are the worst.

Volkwagens quality has been hit or miss the last 6yrs or so. Some are toyota like reliable whil others are complete basket cases. I suspect this has to do with the mexican vs german plants. If you are looking to buy a VW make sure the 2nd vin digit isnt 3.

Fords. ahh Ford. stay away from v6 contours and the new CVT's. Been seeing alot of trouble with booth. Tuarus i don;t care if its given to you run like the wind.

The chevys and GM's have some issues with front end problems all models. Cheap parts. . The 3800 supechraged cars if Unmodded seem to be bullet proof as far as drivetrina but aviod magnasteer cars.

Lexus is a great vehicle but anything over 80k mileage is gonna need tons of maintence lieks struts etc.

If i was shopping for a car id grab a vovlo vx70 or similar vehicle turbo 4dr and enjoy the shit out of it.

the Sabbs aren;t 2 bad just make sure its the ecotech not the earlier 2.0 as they tend to need heagaskets around 70-90k

Aviod all high milage chrysler vehicles like the plauge the 2000-2005 model yr cars especially anything with a 2.7L v6 are trouble. If there was one chrysler id buy from those model years it would be the 300m 3.7 autostick car. best trans out of the bunch with the least quality issues.

If you set aside appearances toyotas and hondas are the best of the bunch in average quality and lowest maintence. Just whatever you buy make sure that you get all the maintence records.

I really like these cars. Unlike the Milan, zephyr, fusion copy
