Read through the posts lets get the mechanics opinions

Lincoln stay away from the LS lots of problems from the A/C condensor cores rupturing to massive electrical issues. the 200-2004 models are the worst.

Volkwagens quality has been hit or miss the last 6yrs or so. Some are toyota like reliable whil others are complete basket cases. I suspect this has to do with the mexican vs german plants. If you are looking to buy a VW make sure the 2nd vin digit isnt 3.

Fords. ahh Ford. stay away from v6 contours and the new CVT's. Been seeing alot of trouble with booth. Tuarus i don;t care if its given to you run like the wind.

The chevys and GM's have some issues with front end problems all models. Cheap parts. . The 3800 supechraged cars if Unmodded seem to be bullet proof as far as drivetrina but aviod magnasteer cars.

Lexus is a great vehicle but anything over 80k mileage is gonna need tons of maintence lieks struts etc.

If i was shopping for a car id grab a vovlo vx70 or similar vehicle turbo 4dr and enjoy the shit out of it.

the Sabbs aren;t 2 bad just make sure its the ecotech not the earlier 2.0 as they tend to need heagaskets around 70-90k

Aviod all high milage chrysler vehicles like the plauge the 2000-2005 model yr cars especially anything with a 2.7L v6 are trouble. If there was one chrysler id buy from those model years it would be the 300m 3.7 autostick car. best trans out of the bunch with the least quality issues.

If you set aside appearances toyotas and hondas are the best of the bunch in average quality and lowest maintence. Just whatever you buy make sure that you get all the maintence records.
Thanks!!!

the tl apsec is nice, stiffer suspension 18's and soem other stuff

Also looking at Acura 3.2TL Type-S. I forgot to mention that. Comments on these cars?

Very nice car, and good realsale value which could make finding one with decent mileage for $15,000 hard.

Quite a few in the 14k-17k range on AutoTrader. After some haggling and sweet talk I might just be in the $15K range on a few of them.

how about a Contour SVT? They're alot of fun to drive. You can pick one up in real nice shape for probably 7-8,000.
No way I'm getting a Contour. Car + Yahama engine doesn;t sound like the ideal combination. I love my Yamaha sleds, but their engines need to stay in snowmobiles, ATV's, and bikes. Plus that car is small and not my style.

basically don't buy a car they all suck is what i got out of that.
IMO, a Linc LS would be tits, thought about getting one before i bought the stang. They have good power if you get a v8 and they ride awesome with all the ameneties. Traction control is decent too, still not great in the winter but a whole lot better than that 5ht ave, i don't think you would get stuck unless you were going throw snow mounds, lol

oh ya in addition, if you go with an LS get a certified pre-owned one from a dealer and you should have an awesome car, it's hard to get them certified and service hits sales up with any and all repairs they can find since it makes them more cash and usually they buy it. And the best part of buying a lincoln is there is a 75% chance it was an old mans car and its clean as fuck inside and out, sorry for the rant but I kinda like Lincolns lol

I second the LS. I had an 03' and my Dad has had three of them...none with any problems. The 03' and up have the additional HP....
