Fun to drive/Sporty 4-door sedans. Recommendations?!?!?

Mr. Hair Gel Overgeller
I was just curious as to what some of you thought were fun to drive/sporty/reliable/mod-friendly 4-door sedans.

Please do not even bother recommending a Neon (of any kind), a Cobalt, or any of those other little cars. For what it's worth, the smallest vehicle I would look at would be an Audi S4. Also, no wagons. (ie Subaru/Saab/Volvo wagons)

I'm looking to get another toy soon, so a fairly low payment on a decent DD would be preffered. Let's sayyyyyy, no higher than a $15,000 sale price.

**I'm also not willing to lease a vehicle. I hate rationing my mileage and I'd hate even more to mod a car I knew I had to turn in and likely de-mod before I did so.**

What would some of you suggest.

the mazdaspeed mazda6 is pretty fun to drive but its a little norht of your range, the regular mazda6 sport isnt too bad though if you can find a stick, they handle really well. ummmm then theyre is the wrx or evo, but i doubt youll find and evo under 20. marauder?

VW passat, Audi A6 2.7T<just a bigger s4, It didnt have a year range so... older 95ish impy, GTP or Regal GS. Just a few suggestions.

I can't see myself in any Mazda, but thanks for the suggestion. Evo...naw, I hate the look. Plus, out of my price range. WRX STi would be a nice DD, but also out of my price range...for the model years I wouldn't mind driving. I like the Marauders but all the ones in my price range would have way too many miles. (looking for <12,000 mi a year) Thanks, though.

VW Passat..."hard on the eyes" at best. Audi A6. Great suggestion and I have looked into them a bit. Anyone familiar with these cars? Major problems, strong points, etc?!?!? 94-96 Impala...I love them but I would have a hard time spending the good money on a nice 96. 96 is my favorite of the 3 years, but it's getting up there in age. Plus, with that car being an instant classic, I would have a hard time daily driving it in the winter. But yeah, I do like them. Wide track GTPs and newest gen GTPs can be had for fair prices and I have looked into them a bit. But after seeing some of the headaches GREENPRIX has gone through with all his motors and problems I'm not so confident in their ability to take to mods, smaller pulleys, etc. Regal GS's, nice car...for those 50 and above. I'm 26. :D Good suggestions. Thanks.

Anyone else?

I knew a guy who was 26 that had a nice regal, he would allways say he lowered the ave. age of buick owners by at least 30 years.

Nissan Maxima 03 or later 3.5s with auto stick
Nice suggestion but I can't see finding one within 50 miles of me, with low miles on the clock, in my price range.

There are a couple decent looking, quick ones around.

I got my Saab 92x, its a wrx in disquise, for <20 out the door.

You can find some some in the 17k price range with <10k on the ticker for a pretty reasonable price.

It's as fun as any car, has subaru's awesome occupant protection, and is awd.

With having a little girl, and planning on making another little me very soon, safety is an important issue to me. I'll look into those right now...

I just looked into them. They are too "wagon-like" for my tastes. :(

Agreed...but see post #4.

I know the cars are cheap but the Kia Spectra 5...if you get the 5 speed trans...its a VERY VERY cool little car to drive around. I use to work a Dick Scott Kia of Waterford and they would have us do test drives on them all the time. for being a lil 4 banger they got some balls.

Absolutely not. I will NEVER buy a Hyundai, Kia, Daewoo, etc. If I was GIVEN any of those cars I would instantly turn around and sell it.
