Front license plate on all cars in michigan!

I know the News article said the legislation had been introduced but after checking around I don't see a record of it (yet). "Michigan Votes" http://www.michiganvotes.org/ has no record that I could find. Looking at Sen Hunter's page on "Michigan Votes" there is a lot of BS legislation but the only one of his about license plates is SB 268 introduced in March to allow an optional alternative license plate with the motto, “In God We Trust”.

I am wondering if they just floated the story to gauge reaction.

Ohio front plate law sucks....My son won't drill his red '93 for a plate. He got a ticket down here a couple years ago....It's b.s...

Received the following response from my senator today.

I agree with you and oppose legislation that would require front license plates. Whether it is for red light cameras or a back door way to raise more money for roads I don’t like it. Thank you for emailing me with your concerns. I will monitor this legislation closely.

Sincerely,
Jack Brandenburg

I urge everyone on Motown to send an email

Zack, how long did it take for your reply? I sent an email to my senator (D) as well & she hasn't responded. (Just curious)

Thanks
George

damn, hes got my vote, talk about being in contact with the general public of people.

Hopefully this doesn't go through. I emailed my senator and signed the petition. I'm not super concerned about drilling on any of my cars though, my newest car is a beater 99 neon, all my other vehicles have a mounting provision.

Senator Randy Richardville sent me an email back. not a cookie cutter email either.....he didn't sound like he was real concerned though, just said he will keep me in mind when looking at "SB654" and shares my concern on the cost factor.

You better tell randy dickville he better be concerned or your not voting for him at the next election
