Front license plate on all cars in michigan!

Front license plates are the stupidest fucking things ever. Not surprisingly, it's from a Detroit Democrap.

Ive already seen front license plates on a few Michigan cars. Some of the ones that have the new plates that look out of state have them.

It will increase crime because bad guys will
a. have one more thing to will steal off your car.
b. once they do steal the front plate they'll put it on the back of their car to commit crimes that you will get blamed for.

How exactly is it supposed to prevent crime?

When a Democrat says 'decrease crime' they really mean 'increase crime'.

They had this in MA and I fucking hated it. The worst part was lots of old style plates only came in sets of 1, so they were exempt from the rule and were not ticketed for lacking one in the front. They weren't issued a 2nd plate or forced to replace them with new plates, so basically the law didn't pertain to them. What kind of BS is that? Something like that should be all or nothing if the official story is that it's all for crime prevention.

As for me, I had one on my daily driver back in MA but never on my Mustang. I averaged getting a ticket for it ($50) once per year. Sure it adds up over time, but it didn't bother me. I'd rather have done that than put holes in my bumper and stick an ugly-ass plate on my baby. In MA, they had annual safety/emissions testing and a window sticker that was easily identifiable as outdated from cops on the side/other side of the road. I'd get pulled over for an old/no sticker more often than the plate, though they'd often just write me up for the plate since it was a simpler offence and the costs were similar.

Funny thing is my Mustang would pass emissions easily but "by the book" it should be failed because the exhaust was "modified from OEM". Yes, even with cats and if I'd pass the sniffer tests, the tech could fail you at his behest if he knew the exhaust was modified. That's just the beginning of the BS you had to put up with. All in all it wasn't worth my trouble nor time, and again I was rarely pulled over. Considering the costs for the stickers and the time involved to go get one, paying the ticket once per year on average was far easier for me to accept.

I hope THAT shit doesn't come to MI now or ever, too...

Nebraska had a front plate law. I never had one on Tue Lightning and never had trouble. The first time I was back in Nebraska after plating the truck in MI I was driving through a small town, met a cop, he flipped around, ran up behind me and then backed off and turned back around. Pretty sure he thought he had me for no front plate. LOL.

Mom got busted a few times for no front plate on her 05 mustang before giving in and putting one on it

So, who do we send emails to to complain about this possible law to make our voices heard and do something about it before it is a pita?

And his name is tupac hunter? Seriously. Wtf. What an asshole. So does This mean that registration renewals are going up since we now need two damn stickers every year?

Can Snyder veto this bill?

Just read about this on the News website... How fuckin stupid. I always loved it that Michigan didn't require a front plate. Hardly any cars are designed to have a front license plate and they look ridiculous with them stuck on there... Fuck that. Pretty much ruins the look of the front end on most vehicles... Retarded.

I'm old enough to remember front plates. I had to run one for 1980-1982 (black plates). They stopped issuing front plates to save costs. While I don't think this will pass (costs), send an e-mail to your state rep and state senator. In the 60's and 70's it wasn't a big thing because most cars had chrome bumpers. I had a '75 Monte Carlo and just left the plate on.

I agree... Older vehicles with chrome bumpers look perfectly fine with them, but most newer cars look retarded.
