Hey guys, pretty sure very few of you know my setup. Here is what I have. SBF 302, Trickflow Track heat, 1 5/8 Long tubes, xpipe, 3.27's. This has got me 13.59@102 on street tires, and [email protected] on slicks. The rear suspension looks stock, the shocks may not be..

In short, I found a couple worn lifters(I use cheap oil). I was told if I replace lifters/pushrods that I should do a Cam. I love this car on the street, but nevertheless its not fast enough.
Actually Saturday I'm getting an 8.8 with 4.10's from Mrvids ;). Tuning the car, might be quarterhorse or megasquirt, depends on the cash tree.

I've read many many forums, different cam's, dyno sheets etc.. It seems with proper tuning, and a good combo you can make 300whp with iron heads and a cam. Now which cam, I don't know wtf I want/need.

Honestly do I just go for the B303/e303 cam ?? and save a few bucks.
Or do I get an AndersonN41
or Compcam Xe2**Hr cam

Sound IMO is more important to me than 20hp. I love how the N41 sounds, and Xe270hr.. I know tooslo86 had great luck with his Anderson Blower cam, and his build inspired me to go N/A rather than turbo.
The plan for my car is to stay ahead of my buddies 350 or Ls swapped 3rd gen, and have decent street manners.
Any input/experience's or good reading articles/forum threads would be awesome too!

Yes, I LOVED that cam for a used eBay cam. It got me into the low 12's as a daily driver knocking down low 20's.

Yes, gears would! Believe me, you can go WAY more gear and still get good mileage with the right tune.

Either of those would probably make you very happy IMO. For street driving if it were me I would choose the 24 simply to keep some of the bucking away that may come into the picture, especially if you stay with a more conservative gear. Really in that realm there are several that will work very well from all the cams I ran through the sim back when I bought that B2, it becomes a matter of what comes along at the right price if you aren't going for every little last bit of power. Be patient, if you see a cam you think may work, run it through some engine sim software and see how it stacks up against the others you've considered.

On another note, if you are picking up this entire rear end does that mean my diff never made it into your car?

On another, another note; any plans on heading to Stanton next Friday? As much as I hate to, if I have the car ready it may be my only choice b4 Norwalk.

The diff is in the garage. It'll make its way into my 8.8, honestly the one I'm picking up needs axle seals.. and I think it's 5 lug. If it can do burnouts, i'll let ya know ;)

If its nice out I'll go to Stanton, but I'll have my Accord so .. no passes lol! Jeremy is getting his t56 faceplated, it'll be another month. I'm shooting for racing in August, tuning in July.
