fitness people- who is still making progress?

I am down about 10 lbs in the last week. My goal weight is 150. I am 175ish right now. I think if I work hard, by the end of the month I can hit my goal.

just keep pushin bro...you will get there. being consistent is the key to dieting success...

Thanks. This is all repeat work for me. I was about 160 lbs at the end of last summer, but winter hit, and I stopped eating healthy, and went into hibernation. I am really going to push myself this time. When I get down to 150 pounds I want to start doing some weight work, but nothing big. I don't want to bulk up much, just be well defined musculature wise. I know I will get there, as I have nothing holding me back anymore.

Did another 6 miles in less than 30 mins after work yesterday and again this morning right when i got up. I'm on a mission!

Only jogged a mile and did wind sprints today. I am SORE.

I don't plan to get on the scale for another 3 or 4 weeks.

ACTUALLY.....as of today iam 218 but about 10.6% BF. (I was dieting with the wife when she did the Michigan championships) Iam making a serious move to the lightheavies (North American BB-ing championships next fall) That vid is a few years old too...it really isnt my best conditioning either. I dropped to much water the last few days and kinds smoothed over...I am not really all that "big" per say...i look like I train but Iam FAR from being big. NOT being modest or anything just telling the truth. I carry a lot of weight in my quads and back but I really have shitty arms. Yeah...I have been at this a LONG time so dieting to me is second natural.

thats pretty Fing wicked dude... i wish i had the kind of commitment to getting in shape and big.... and yea dude youre not HUGE but your a really good size... what id LIKE to be:thumbsup:

dang I didnt know we had a fitness thread too, its really starting to creep me out how many interests you all have in common with me.:D im 6'1" and the runt of my family. My ultimate goal is 225# but my short term (end of the summer) is 200#. I started at 180ish this spring and am up to 190ish now, all muscle gains. I used to fight at 165# and was around there for a few years and you wouldnt believe how hard it is to pack weight on. Ive been eating healthy and eating a lot as well as working my ass off. Ill keep you updated. and dang al, 6 consecutive 5 minute miles is pretty good for a run. j/k, dont yell at me, i read the posts

There are quite a few fitness threads buried in THE PUB.

I caved and had a cherry coke at work last night. It's my way of relaxing a little, since I don't smoke. :/

Well... it looks like I should have another climb scheduled for September, so I'm back to running. I haven't done a single bit of cardio since my last climb. That was one slooooow mile and a half last night. :D

Question for Littlemags: How do you test your BF? I'm just curious. I have my first fitness assessment tonight on my path to a Sept competition and they check BF via skin fold measurements. Hopefully this Steve dude isn't scared to pinch all the skin he can get, I want accurate measurements (short of DEXA or the gold standard- underwater weighing, its the closest you can get with an experienced trainer)!!!!! I know you've been at this for years- but how did you get started? Did you have a trainer? Do you have any certification- or just years of trial and error? You mentioned something about your wife before- does she compete? If you rather PM me that's fine. :D
