This e85 checker and sensor, are these things available to the general public or do you need to be an engineer working there to get them? What computer are you going to use that has the capability to monitor this sensor?

General public for sure. Trust me I don't get anything special ever...maybe if I worked there 20 years ago it would be a different story.

I don't think it's weird though. If you had family that would admit to being related you might be able to post from their place as well.
