Finally building myself a garage

Great to see that start to finish. Looks awesome! Congrats and enjoy! We built a horse barn 3yrs ago, pasture fence 2yrs ago and horse stalls & electric last year. Hoping to wrap it up this year finishing the tack room and get some animals in the barn for the wife.

Very nice. I have 9 horses right now, one is only 5 days old. They're definitely a handful.

Great looking place congrats! What are the rest of your plans for the interior? You mentioned insulation so I assume it will at least be heated? Drywall?

garage question for you guys. I notice you built the garage, then looks like you poured the concrete under it? Why not do the concrete 1st? and did they have to pour a ratwall?

Im looking to do a garage this spring as well, but I need a ratwall ad was wondering if i should pour the pad first and handle the rest of the garage later in the year

You can do either first, it doesn't matter. The walls don't go on the slab anyway. Usually it just comes down to timing and when the grade is ready for the slab to be poured.

he built a pole barn so it can go either way, in order to build a garage you will need a rat wall and slab first to set the garage walls on and anchor down to.

I live in Fraser now. 14 and hayes area. Theyre pretty cool with size, but it seems like they just have some strict codes that need to be followed. Any outbuilding needs a rat wall, whether is a 4 car garage, or a shed from Home Depot. Im probably going to do a 16x20 garage. i dont want it to take up too much yard, and i wont ever have a car back there, but id like to be able to keep everything out of my attached garage except cars.
