True story. I went to said "meeting" and once i sat threw all the nonsense..then the whole "only costs xxx to get started" i was out the door.

Steve, i dont really think anyones really bashing you here. If anthing, its info about past experiences. If you think it'll benefit you, then who is anyone on here to tell you otherwise. Goodluck though.
 
ok this is what it consist of......we are a debt solution company. we offer a solution to your debt problems through various products we offer. it is completely your choice to use these. we do life insurance policies,401k roll overs, refinance mortgages, do investments into mutual funds, and now offer a new loan program for people who dont own a house to consolidate their debt. we do a completely free finacial analysis which tells you a way to pay off your debts in the quickest way possible with the least amount of interest paid(mind you using only money you already spend on the bills you have now). WE DO NOT OFFER ANY PRODUCTS TO ANYONE WHO DOES NOT WANT OR NEED THE HELP. it takes disipline on your part to follow the analysis which is one of the main reasons it doesnt work for people because they dont like change and dont want to wait for things. the second reason i believe that people dont like it is because you do have to pay a PORTION for your classes. in my eyes if you pay for something even if it is a little you seem to take it a lil more serious. the reason for the classes is you cannot offer any of our products unless you are state certified. the first class(life insurance) we took cost us each 200.00 and the company pays for the rest. you must pay for the test when you schedule it but the company will cut you a check for the cost of the test when you pass(60.00). reason three on why people dont like it is because it does take a lil while to get started(but it does depend on you and how serious you are). this is not a "get rich quick thing" like everyone thinks it is.the company pays us to market its products on a commission basis. as you progress in the company the higher your commission rate is. the highest i have seen so far is people at a 105% commission rate. there are certain things you have to do and is where alot of people dont like it is that you have to start talking to people about it cuz this is totally off of refferal basis. say i tell a person they tell a person and that person tells a person. i never cold call anyone. you start by helping a friend or a family member which my girlfriend and i have done. i helped my friends set up a couple life insurance policies and consolidate their debt. i was able to open their eyes to the light at the end of the tunnel so to speak and that to me means alot. i get paid to help people out of problems and get the self gratification of it as well. i like to help people and i am doing it through this company. like i said it is not for everyone but i do FIRMLY believe everyone can do this.
 
I too went to a meeting for the company a while back, but I did not accept a position with the company. That's all I will say on the matter.

I really don't know anything about Primerica, but I do know something about getting out of debt.

Spend less and use the savings to pay off bills. That and selling things you don't need to pay off bills. Is there really anything more to it than that?

EDIT: Just read the last two posts.. I get it. The goal is to sell debt consolidation loans.

Do family and friends really agree to share all of their finances with you?

the goal of the company is to make families finacialy independent through educating them on how money works and how to save interest on their own bills. we offer numerous plans to help do this. everyones data is very important and thus it is kept classified to the agent and the underwriting department. the familes that i have helped have been my personal family members and some friends of mine that that were in dire need of what we offered them and now they are looking into joining and doing what we are doing. the hardest thing for me is the licensing and for my girlfriend is talking to people for the first time. i am cery very optimistic in my success and as i said i will keep people posted.
