I have a situation brewing with a performance automotive shop that I could use some legal advice on. Does anyone know anyone good?

Pm wikdsvt, if it's not something he deals I'm sure he has someone to refer you to. He also posts on the MM Fb page, Mark En.

thx, I did send him a PM but it's been a hot minute. He might be on the FB page more frequently, thanks again.

I hope you are able to get the situation resolved to your satisfaction. I had similar troubles years ago and in the end never got made whole after the dust settled. I will never forget that experience or the people involved.

My advice is to not hesitate and be aggressive - fight for what is right, look out for your best interests and don't let the shop you are dealing with get away with anything. Don't try to be the good guy because they may have made you feel like they are doing you a favor by taking your business.

APE all over again???? Performance shops are harder to deal with cause they don’t have to follow all the rules a repair shop does

Lord not again. Someone post up when they are going to have the bankruptcy sell-off though.

They don't have to follow the same rules, but, a contract is involved here. I spoke with an attorney and have the advice I need. When everything is said and done, I will share, it just might be a while. Thanks everyone!

Cool you got it in writing! Hopefully you can work it out. Performance car business is tough, and there aren't enough good shops around anymore.

If its a Michigan registered vehicle with license plates they do have to follow all state laws for auto repair which are pretty strict.
Off road vehicle, no title or plates then no.
Shops are not exempt because they bolt on aftermarket performance parts or make performance repairs on licensed vehicles. They have to follow the same rules.
