If you seriously think that picture is "BADASS" more power to ya.

Now this picture IS Badass !

Yep it is. Can't argue. But it isn't a stock car. You can modify virtually any car to beat anything that is stock. I've seen plenty of high 10 second cars that pull a pretty mean wheelie, but they don't out-run 9 second cars. (Not saying I know what that stang runs though).

Have to admit I must be missing the point. Am I a fan of the Demon? You better believe it! A stock car that runs 9s how can you not love it? If you're saying you'd rather build your fast car than buy it that's cool, I can appreciate that and I've done that as well. I can't responsibly afford a Demon just like I can't responsibly afford a Lambo, but I still think they're badass! I feel very blessed to have been able to get a Scat Pack!

I'm not real hung up on wheather or not my HellCat lifts the front wheels or not to validate if it's bad ass. It is. Straight from the factory scary fast.

Now on the other side of the coin. My mustang is of a slightly lesser power, but is still faster than my Challenger. (Shit ton lighter and purpose built)

I love them both. Each very different, but still make you smile when you kick the pedal!

Right on. Couldn't agree more.

He said junk weather, so I'm sure it wasn't ideal...stop it......and yes, yes it does. His friend knows what up....even tho he's not a drag racer.

"I should point out that I have made over a thousand quarter mile passes in my own cars"....

Lol...

So I have to be the bad guy here? Nobody else is going to say it? Everyone must be thinking it, because there are already a bunch of excuses being given in this thread, and in the article they said that Dodge had the timers off at the track.

Let me just start by saying that I think this car is bad ass. Any factory car that comes with a trans brake and drag radials is cool in my book. But I ran the correction factor for 10.5@132 and a 2428 DA and I am not getting anywhere near the 9.65 Dodge claims. So yea, I said it. Flame suit on.

I am sure we are going to get a better "explanation" at some point. I mean, when you think about it, maybe they had to de-tune it to be able to run at the track at all, since it technically isn't NHRA legal. Maybe it was an insurance issue?
