Dodge Demon

The flares and skinnies in the front look like a funny car (flopper) to me. I dig the look.

In general though, not a big fan of the flares.

I agree. If you are a drag racer this car would make you jump brands. I don't care how cool it looks, how rare it is, or all the marketing metrics. All I can think about is rolling to the burnout box and going through all the rituals, discovering all the best methods to get the ET. Over and over again. With factory backing. Crazy!

x2, I'd love to have one of these.

it definitely isn't gear limited. With the tire height, final drive and 8 speed ratio it would theoretically do 260 on the rev limiter in 8th gear. Did they electronically limit top speed to correspond with the drag radial speed rating? If not I want to know how fast an 840 HP brick can go. Someone get one to a mile shootout, wouldn't get to top speed but would get moving pretty good with no electronic limiter.

Awesome car putting the competition in the dust

Too bad the NHRA already banned it! So much for taking it to the track!

I think the real game changer is the trans brake. I am really interested to see if Ford and GM follow suit.

"The NHRA banned it." Whatever. Who was really looking to buy one and go try to run it at a NHRA national or even divisional event. Every track in America is going to let it in for test and tune or grudge night that is what people would run it on the track at anyway and every track will turn the same blind eye to it that they turn to every other car that doesn't even come close to teching for the speed it goes.

Great point

I'm sorry, there is no way I would give up my leather heated seats and steering wheel, killer radio and clean body lines etc. for a few extra unusable "street" horse power. As it is, my stock Hellcat is completely insane on the road. IMG_6295.JPG
