Dodge Demon

thats a pretty detailed number. Its not like he said high nines....
thats insane...but straight line. Is stability and handling compromised in real world driving?

I would imagine it might be slightly compromised, but keep it in perspective. It'll still handle 100x better than your typical 9 second foxbody for instance.

I actually sat and waited for the new video. What a nerd! LOL

Good video! Beyond all the hardened parts, which every current Hellcat owner will want, I'm also intrigued by the harness bar and whatever the driver was doing in the beginning with the left shift lever. It literally sounded like the car was building boost before launch? Also in the press release the talk about electronic nannies to get rid of wheel hop. Mash the throttle and go. Bracket racer? Exciting stuff.

We just painted one Tuesday and it's going to the crusher next week, car was not impressive....... just a hellcat with fender flares IMO. Who in their right mind wants a flat black hood, roof and decklid

-----just a hellcat with fender flares IMO----

This is what I was afraid of.

Hmmm, I think if you watch the vid's it's hard to say Hellcat with flares. I see way more going on there. Don't think putting flares alone on a Hellcat will get high 9s out of it.

From the videos
-different wheels
-different suspension
-different computer modes for launch
-no rear seat
-different axles, driveshaft, rear diff

Hmm yep
-oh and more hp, oh and drag tires from the factory on an 11" wheel

Sorry but those fender flares look right out of the JC Whitney catalog.

And any hellcat owner can cut an interior.

Cool videos, definitely a badass car, but until they release the cost, just great advertising.....

Just did some reading up, 41 spline axle shafts pretty stout!

The new prop shaft uses high-strength steel, heat-treated stub-shafts, and increases the tube thickness by 20 percent for an 15-percent increase in torque capacity. Additionally, Dodge says the upgraded differential housing allows for a 30 percent increase in torque capacity by using heat-treated A383 aluminum alloy and a higher strength shot-peened gear set. The 41-spline half shafts that deliver 20 percent increased torque capacity through the use of high-strength low alloy steel and 8-ball joints.
