DietBet – Who’s In?

Seems a lot of folks have asked me, "How much have you won with DietBet?"

Here is the answer...

In 7 months I have played 3 DietBet games, won all 3 and lost 33 pounds.

I have paid in $255 and grossed $400.30, which netted me a total winnings of $145.30.

May not seem like a lot of money (which it is not), but ask yourself, if I had join Weight Watchers
& paid them and lost weight, would they refund my money? Would they actually pay me anything?

I love this DietBet & will continue with it.

Nice little perk for following through. The real value is in the improvement in your health, but your already know that. :) It sounds like a nice accountability tool with a community of like minded folks.
 
Ok, I'm getting desperate, my favorite exercise is bike riding.
It has been cold & rainy and I thought I'd try indoor bike riding.

Yes I know I could ride one of those stationary exercise bikes (I
own one) I just don't really like those. I normally jog up & down
the open stairwells in this gym (2,438 stair steps in a workout).

So today I tried the "exercise experiment" and rode my bike indoors
for 10 miles. I normally ride 25 miles and my one day best ride this summer
was 56 miles - which is very good for me.

Well, I was surprised how hard it was to ride indoors. The floor has a lot
of resistance and I had to really focus on what I was doing, a lot of
body control (tons of turning). Even though there were no cars, dogs etc.
It was still harder riding those 10 indoor miles than 30 on the open road.

I'm always looking for creative workout options.

I'm 7 days into a 30 day/100 push-ups a day self experiment. Hate push ups but have made improvements every day (so far).

Excellent job! I just signed up for 2 more DietBet games.

I took a break from DietBet & shouldn't have. My buddy who
works for FEMA was doing 100 push ups and 100 sit ups a
day. He had to suspend that for now.

He has been running things in the Florida EOC since
Labor Day......without a day off, 106+ hours of OT alone
in the first 2 weeks!
 
08/2017 I'm 5'10" & started lifting at 36 but didn't know what I was doing, currently 38, about to be 39 in Jan. - still on the cut, Saturday weigh-in was at 188lbs. I may go to 175lbs instead of 185, still have a small gut and want it GONE. :)

∆ Squat +55lbs (350lb 1rm, now 405lb 1rm)

∆ Military Press +40lbs (105lb 1rm, now 145 1rm)

Still on a regimented diet:
200g Protein, 150g/125g (training day vs non-training day) Carbs, 50g Fats

Overall progress:
-117lbs
%change -38.36%

current bw: 183.6lbs - probably going to stop at 180 or 175 is still the plan - my lifting progress has stalled a bit, which was expected - basically my 1rm's haven't moved
