Did anyone make a thread about the Buff Whelan Chevy dealership fire?

oh well the world won't be missing a bunch of burnt GM CAR's, hope workers there don't lose their job over their own coworkers neglect of leaving gas tank out

some people don't even have insurance on their paid off homes, as far as building fires

edited mentioning who cares about some burnt up cars

that's the dumbest comment you have made....outside of the Demon thread, where you've made plenty. There are families involved, guys who may have lost their livelihood, jobs at stake....

Insurance is going to be a nightmare... I'll bet Whelan's insurance goes after the cleaning companies insurance...

One thing to note... Tech tools aren't usually covered because they are personal tools... Not dealership property... Had gone through this before... It sucks...

X2 What a dick move. I have friends that work there that have lost all of their tools. Not cool dude.

it sure will be. this is why mechanics should 100% always have their own coverage in place that extends to cover their tools
 
I am a tech at Buff Whelan Chevrolet. Let me start by saying the owner and management have done an amazing job of taking care of all of us. All of our tools are being covered by insurance and are in the process of being replaced. We will have a temporary service building while they rebuild, and they are going to pay us our average hours until we are back and running a hundred percent. Not one person was layed off or lost there job. One of the best company's I've worked for.


Dline maybe think twice on spitting out whatever is going on in your head. This has been a very difficult time for everyone here. If we were a demon plant I have a feeling your comments would've have been completely different. It's more then what kind of cars we sell........

Hope you are made whole. I want to see some pictures of your tool box, I would be in tears to see my triple bay box a scorched mess.

The ceiling ended up caving in on my box so I haven't really seen it. They are replacing all our boxes with whatever we had.
 
Probably the only upside to this is that the tool vendors are going to have a big payday. Sucks in pretty much every other way though
