well it's a timed racing event... which falls under the category of most forms of motorsports.

how is drifting judged? opinion right? much like figure skating. :D

I agree 100%.

Besides for drag racing being associated to the phrase "motor sport" I dont consider it a sport. Me vs. you. My motor blows you win. That was not me vs you, that was my car vs. your car. Too many variables, not a true sport.
 
regardless if you count drag/drifting/autocross/nascar a sport its all about having fun and enjoying yourself right?
 
Ive seen drifting on TV and i think its just as much a sport as drag racing. What i saw on tv was a timed course you drove through. fastest one wins. kinda like drag racing.

the fastest way around a track does not involve oversteering the entire track... there had to be some kind of scoring for style in there too.

If thats the case I'll win some oversteer competitions with the crown vic by driving a correct line thru the course!! I could be the "drift" king while going thru the whole season on one set of tires!!!

How much money can you win by doing this?!?!? I COULD BE RICH!!!!
