Dearborn lunch guys - 5 Guys opened up today

3 Nicks is good and affordable...anyone ever try Famous Hamburger? Near Olgas up on the hill?

Tried the famous burger once. It was ok. Nothing I was craving to go back for.

Someone mentioned healthy in dearborn. I think i gave up on that. Try to make healthier choices when I go out but still not as good as something I would make at home.

All this 5 guys talk, I couldn't take it any more.

Millers buys their burgers frozen from GFS now. They used to be made fresh. Havent been back since i seen the guy bringing 50 boxes of frozen GFS burgers into the place. It was $10.99 for a box of 12 burgers at GFS but haven't been there in a while. Millers is definitely making their money on a box of burgers now though. I figure $20 investment for $120 return i believe is somewhere around 500% return on investment.

No they dont. They buy from Davis Meats (local company owned by a friend of my fiance's), the truck is there all the time and the dude is wheeling in tons of meat. I will snap a picture the next time I am there when the truck is (this happens frequently)

We need proof.

All this hamburger talk got me hungry for Miller's. I was there today with coworkers...saw the Davis meat truck...saw the guy wheeling in the boxes, and even got a glance at the boxes in the kitchen. It was NOT GFS.

5 Guys Restaurant

I went to the one on M59 last time I was down there and thought the opposite: Burgers very good, Fries were shit. I must like the crispy golden flash frozen processed fries better than the brown soggy fresh cut ones I suppose.

Of course, I live up here in BFE where the best burger joint around is Burger King, so I don't have much to go on lately. And damn you Motown, now I'm hungry for a good burger. Guess I'm stopping at the store on the way home and firing up the grill.
